This story is a sequel to A Fate Worse Than Tartarus
Featured July 27, 2020
In another world, Cozy Glow triumphed. In another world Cozy Glow was able to gain the power of chaos and the alicorns, defeat the forces of Equestria, betray her allies, and seal them all in Tartarus
Now the Empress rules over the Magical Super Duper Kingdom of Cozyland. She claims to have united all of the creatures of the world in friendship. In reality, she has oppressed them equally under her iron hoof.
To Cozy, it appears that nothing can stop her now.
Until she faces a challenge that she never planned for: her mother.
Her mother is excited about her filly's new career, and the middle-aged mare plans to make her the best empress ever, kicking and screaming.
Another AU of the series finale. This is a separate continuity from "Never Break A Promise To Your Mom."
wait,Cozy Glow supervised Cozy Glow?

Wait....
I meant to say Sweet Roll.
Paperwork the greatest enemy and parents another of the great enemies together
I did not anticipate this being as heartwarming as it is.

Neither did I, really.
For a show that talked about Friendship, MLP was mercilessly cruel toward a filly, yet oddly forgiving toward a treasonous student and a god of mischief.
I wrote this initially as a gag fic, but then realized that I could instead do what MLP didn't do: try and teach Cozy Glow the error of her ways.
I am starting to like this Sweet Roll character. The perfect anchor for Cozy Glow's character development and proper redemption. Also, it's July 27 for the feature alert, not August.
Oh my word this was absolutely hilarious, very well done. I would have loved Sweet Roll redeeming Cozy in the show
I was really scared Cozy was gonna hurt Raven in the begining. Thankfully that didn't happen...
It was really funny to see the almyghty, all powerfull and most beautiful Cozy Glow being powerless against her mommy dearest XD

I feel parental figures were greatly underutilized in MLP.
Yeah, I'll bet. Sweet Roll raised you well, Cozy. And she would be very proud of you!
To the author: Again, among other redemption stories, this one is the best. Nice to see Cozy use her manipulative skills for the good of others and Equestria rather than herself. Selflessness is truly a developing character trait for her.
Don’t forget the three week delivery time for shipping

The best redemptions are the ones that don't a rob a character of what makes them interesting.
Sunset Shimmer maybe a better person, but she's still crafty and temperamental.
10357856
That's always a pain, isn't it.
It's super effective! But...
What about Raven! This won't work on her if she ever turns evilcorn...
10356703
Agreed.
I am happy we got to see the parents, but I wanted more of them. Maybe an episode just with them...
10358057
Actually...that makes a ton of sense.
Not just because she can handle paperwork, but because dictators are often quiet bureaucrats whose skills allow them to outmaneuver their rivals.

"Raven Inkwell"
Our Lady Protector of Equestria
The Custodian of the New State
Grand Bureaucrat of Canterlot City
And all the other things she calls herself…
Raven: What? I like titles~

You can laugh...
But a lot of famous people do make this transition in real life.
Spiro Agnew started out his career doing busywork for Baltimore County.
Stalin was given a dead end post by Lenin, but managed to turn it into a position of power.
Yeltsin began his career as an apparatchik.
10358461
Don't forget good old Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
He went from being the sandal bearer of Oda Nobunaga to becoming the "de facto" ruler of all Japan!
Cozy learned from her mom
10358501
Are you familiar with "Taiko" and what to do if the bird don't sing?
10359635
I know the "bird" saying, yes.
"Taiko" is a type of Japanese drum, right?
10360943
Taiko is a series of books that talk about his life
10360959
Always learning...
Yep, this seems about right. Cozy is a child way in over her head so a great way to beat/dethrown her would be to make her realize just how much work winning would bring. I love how childishly you wrote this aspect of her. The scene with Celestia was also surprisingly touching and I find it nice how she wasn't just thrown in Tartarus or something of that sorts.
Having her scrape off that paint was extremely cruel though. Sure, she did a FEW bad things but nothing as evil as that.
This is a perfect showing of just how a reformed Cozy Glow could be a hero.
Also, Baron Von Evil is a great villain name. Its very subdle and fitting for a serious villain like he is.
10361220
Again, I always felt that Cozy Glow was the villain who least deserved to go to Tartarus. She was a child who deserved a chance, not an evil adult.
My idea for this came from a old saying: There are only two tragedies. One is not getting what one wants, and the other is getting it. By that logic, the best way for Cozy to learn her lesson would've been to give her what she wants, and teach her that ruling doesn't mean "getting your way." Ruling means "sacrificing your time for the good of others."
And if Celestia could forgive a treasonous sister, she could forgive anypony who learned their lesson.

Deception and manipulation can be used for good or ill, like any weapon.
Not even sure what's the worst of those things...
Good story!
I enjoyed reading it.

I believe, in all seriousness, that the pictures on the wall is the worst thing.
It is one of the signs you live in a horrible country when your ruling leader puts his/her pictures on the wall.
