Ever since Radiant Hope lost her friend to the darkness, She been's feeling a little depressed and always have these nightmares about him. But through the years, she's began to recover.
But then, she began learning about these gems called The Elements Of Harmony and how they sealed Nightmare Moon into the moon. Now she's got that feeling that Nightmare Moon would return.
Now, Princess Celestia has sent Radiant Hope to Ponyville to check on preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration and to make some friends, which she does. But she doesn't feel comfortable with it after what happened to her old friend.
Then, Nightmare Moon suddenly arrives and is now bringing eternal night to Equestria. Now, Radiant Hope must journey to The Everfree Forest to The Castle Of The Two Sisters to find The Elements Of Harmony and stop Nightmare Moon.
But she won't be alone.
I think this is the first time I see a fanfic centered in a character from the comics, and I am more than happy to have found it by chance.
Many things here intrigues me, but what I want to see most is: What ponies will she become friends?
I mean, I love the Main Six, but the single fact about the new possibilities makes me want more.
And lastly I have a question, when does this story happens? I mean, Radiant Hope must be 1000 old here by logic, and I did not see any Umbrum to keep her young.
Anyway, hope to see an update soon.
I have to say, this IS an intriguing start to the story. The work that went into the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up was quite well done. Though, as was said already, the biggest issue is that the time frame would make it extremely difficult for Radiant to still be alive when Nightmare Moon returns (not impossible admittedly, because this IS an alternate universe, but extremely difficult).
Of course, because this IS an alternate universe, the "Crystal Empire" deal could have been MUCH more recent than in canon (like 990 years later than in canon). That's just a guess though.
or, if the Crystal Empire deal happened at the same time as in canon, Radiant could have been kept alive by other much more benign means (again, this IS an alternate universe)

That IS a really good question. Admittedly, it IS possible that the Crystal Empire thing could have happened only ten years ago here instead of a thousand. Of course, it's ALSO possible that Radiant could have been kept alive that long by OTHER means. Of course, Spike still being alive after 1000 years is definitely possible (dragons have notoriously long life spans) if he were hatched that much earlier than in canon, but, if that were the case, he'd already be back in the Dragon Lands by present day and be pretty much a non-factor except for backstory detail.
But, neither of us is the author so we can only guess. And our guesses are probably wrong at that.

If so will she find her own six element carriers or be the original six.

Once again, really good job on this latest chapter. Yeah, pretty similar to the canon, but it is kind of hard to avoid admittedly. At least it confirms that the "Crystal Empire" thing only happened TEN years ago here instead of a thousand (otherwise, Spike would already be an adult dragon by now [as in big enough and powerful enough to mop the floor with Nightmare Moon EVEN WITHOUT the Elements of Harmony]). But, yeah, the exchange and characterizations concerning Hope and Spike are pretty well done. I'm going to guess that Twilight got into the school anyway as a "normal gifted unicorn" and, while still a top student at the school, is under MUCH less pressure and is A LOT LESS dependent on Celestia than she would be as Celestia's personal student. Or, she followed her big brother's example and joined the Royal Guard. Or a combination of both.
So far, I can only guess that Rara, Vinyl and Raindrops are going to be three of the other Element Bearers based on the character tags and, considering Vinyl is on the list for sure, there's also a fifty-fifty chance of Octavia being one of the other Element Bearers.
But, anyway, I'm very certainly going to be looking forward to more of this.

I particularly liked the first meetings with Limestone and Muffins (especially both the similarities and the differences concerning Applejack and Rainbow Dash respectively. And, yeah, the little alteration to the initial reluctance to make friends makes sense concerning the character in question.

I particularly liked the detail of Rara reading at the library a lot before becoming a musician. As for Element of Honesty, I'm guessing either Raindrops or Limestone, but I will admit that I could be wrong.

Have to admit, I wasn't expecting Rara to be Laughter, but considering she IS a professional entertainer, I guess it DOES make a certain amount of sense.
As for Generosity, I would have to say it is most likely going to be Limestone simply because they will need a Pegasus for the bridge, which means Derpy will be Loyalty. So, simple process of elimination.

Nice work on this chapter. But Limestone feels a little out of character.
Excellent work on this latest chapter. Particularly loved how Hope used her magic to help Limestone across to fix the bridge as well as Limestone quickly catching on concerning how her REAL family would NOT force her to choose between them or her friends in this situation.

Admittedly, this IS pretty similar to the canon, but that can't exactly be easily avoided here.
To be honest, the one I'll be looking MOST forward to after this story is over will be the Season THREE opener (since that will most likely involve Radiant trying to not only save the Crystal Empire from Sombra, but also save Sombra from himself. Not only that, but she ALREADY HAS a reasonable bit of knowledge concerning both the Crystal Empire AND Sombra, so she'll be AT LEAST SLIGHTLY better prepared than Twilight was.
Two things that caught my attention are Coloratura, which is a character with promising future that we almost never seen (I mean, there was only one episode) and more importantly, unlike Twilight, Hope actually has a deep trauma that makes her afraid of letting the others come closer, which is far more interesting.
Excellent job on the epilogue. The exchanges, characterizations, general wrap-up and future story set-up are, of course, all wonderfully done in all the right places. Absolutely LOVED the post adventure reactions to the Elements as well as the gang's reaction to Radiant at least knowing about Luna and Octavia setting up the party.
VERY certainly looking forward to more stories in this universe.
Well this looks like a pretty interesting story so far and I see radiant hope is going to be the main character and she still having nightmares about what happened to King Sombra and her home which that's pretty terrifying for her to see it's a good thing Princess Celestia knows how to cure a nightmare even though only temporarily and it's always good to see Spike there ( although you could have picked a different dragons like smolder or ember but ok whatever) and it looks like she's sleeping peacefully at least for now now there is something I don't get and I'm probably sure you know what it is so how is hope alive I know for a fact that she not an alicorn and she did not get trapped with her kind in the Crystal Empire when they disappeared it all happens in a thousand of years what kind of magic does she have to stay alive this long probably ponies have different lifespan but I'm sure they don't live this long but anyway that's my only criticism other than that I think the story looks pretty interesting so far

It looks like over the years radiant hope notice that Luna is not here anymore now another question how in the world did she not notice about nightmare Moon's attack on the castle of the two sisters but anyway I was reading a book about Nightmare Moon about her return someday and it's one of those days so she wanted to send an emergency letter to Princess Celestia but it looks like Princess Celestia thinks that she's overreacting and I feel like she knows what's going on as well but she just wanted to see how she goes

Well it looks like Princess Celestia send radiant hope and Spike to Ponyville not only setting up a party but also for hope to make some friends which she did not like the sound of it after her first experience with Sombra but anyway it looks like she met up with pony named Vinyl Scratch and all she got is she freaked out and ran off and then she went to sugarcube Corner when she met Limestone pie which that's a pretty interesting choice there for her and of course a pegasus named Derpy Hooves awesome to see her again and she's trying to find her friend raindrops well this should be very interesting who's the other
Ohh raindrops one of the most underrated background characters of the My Little Pony but I know her she's cool

So it looks like Spike and radiant Hope checking out the rest of the party supplies and everything and they finally got to see raindrops the one that Derby was looking for and then finally they met up with a person who is in charge of the music and the Pony is named as Countess coloratura aka rara always nice to see her and taking interested to a dragon and I'm finally the made it to the library tree which I miss that so much and it looks like the pony from previous known as Vinyl Scratch giving radiant hope a surprise party
Looks like things are popping up the party and it looks like Vinyl Scratch made her introduction with radiant hope where she got very annoyed and it looks like the other gangs are here as well but of course hope couldn't stand it anymore and basically just ran off I get it what she's been through was pretty dramatic but do not let that past hold her like that I just hope she understands it soon
Oh boy thats not good it looks like the sunset celebration has been disrupted and it looks like princess of the night Nightmare Moon has returned after a thousand years and I probably should have seen that coming but now I wonder radiant hope and the others will do
Ok so it looks like the main five need to figure out how to stop Nightmare Moon but raindrops got the idea to ask radiant hope for it because she knew what was going on and they finally asked her what was happening here and she didn't know where to find the elements of harmonies or at least a book for it but it looks like Rara figure it out where they are at least the book one so they figure out where the location are there in the everfree forest where the two castle of the sisters is and it looks like their Journey begins
So it looks like the Mane 6 are being tested first off honesty after the Avalanche in blocking their escape raindrop try to find the way out of the cave but the others questioned about her methods but raindrop wants to reassure them that they can trust her and it looks like radiant hope did and the rest follows and with that they finally got out of the cave thanks to her guts and everything now it looks like the test of kindness is coming up who's it going to be
Whoa ok that is a different turn of events here and once again I did not see that coming anyway the Manticore is attacking the main six but it looks like Vinyl Scratch calm down the Beast somehow she knows how to understand the animals apparently she has a different Talent as well again did not see that coming very interesting choice to call anyway that was a test of kindness I wonder who is next
Wow once again I did not see this coming apparently they all got scared by the creepy trees but Rara proof that there's nothing to be scared of all you got to do is to give it a little laugh and it turns out all the scary things are gone and now they have to proceed to their destination very interesting for rara to represent the element of laughter and another test for laughter two more left it was the other one
Once again another one I didn't see this coming so basically Derpy offered a little muffins to everybody but until a force creature was upset that a smoke cloud stole its food but Derpy out of her generosity gave the muffins to the creature that was pretty nice of her now how in the world Limestone offered loyalty let's see how this goes
Okay at least we know how Limestone get across to the bridge With a Little Help from radiant hope magic to get her to tie up the end of the bridge but apparently her family was there and telling her to come home but she wants to help her friends first but apparently her family trying to tell her it's either them or her family now that is a very tough situation but good thing she knows that is not her real family and she sticks with her friends now they're on the way the Castle and finally finding the elements of harmony
Whoa ok it looks like they made it to the castle and they found the Elements of Harmony but they only found five so radiant hope try to see if she can activated but unfortunately Nightmare Moon had different plans separated radiant hope away from her friends she tries to activate it again but it's not working thinking that she failed but then she heard her friends coming and she started to understand what true friendship is and it looks like the Elements of Harmony is always with them and what the power of the elements of the harmony they brought back Princess Luna from Nightmare Moon let's see how the ending works out
