Fluttershy has long had a crush on the pretty magician. But she made a plan to tell Trixie only after a perfect show. At the time that bet wasn't a risk as Trixie was a klutz. But now after a perfect show Fluttershy has to stick to her deal with herself. If she didn't stick to her plans she'd chicken out of literally anything she tries to do.

That was definitely sweet enough for a like. Sort of a hard pairing to work with I'd imagine, so will done especially considering that.
You know, I've always argued about short shipfics, because I could never see them making without enough build-up. Maybe I've been looking at them the wrong way. At least in your style, I've noticed you skip a lot of the build-up and go to the payout. I suppose that method allows you to skip the messy "okay but why would they" questions.
