Rainbow Dash is just trying to get by. Life is hard in the city, especially when you can't afford top of the line upgrades. Racing has always been her dream, and if she can just prove she's good enough, sponsorships and prize money mean she can live like she's always wanted to.
But there are always setbacks, and she'll need help to make it big. And if she does, she may discover it's not at all like she hoped it would be.
Chapter 1 was my entry for the 21st Quills and Sofas Speedwriting contest. The prompt was "Good luck charm." The first chapter was written in an hour. Everything afterwards was the universe being too interesting to abandon.

Anyway, I liked it! Cyberpunk isn't really my mojo, but I can enjoy it, and this has certainly been interesting enough, and well written enough (characterization in particular) - I'll definitely keep an eye on it

I bloody love the Cyberpunk setting that this story takes place in, it’s bloody wicked and a setting that honestly should be used for G5 of My Little Pony for one of the worlds that inhabit one of the races that the show will feature in it. I can’t wait to read more into this piece as more chapters comes out for it.
I loved the hook of the first chapter, and you've done a great job with this second. Excellent pace and tension in the race and one heck of a cliffhanger. Very eager for more.

Well, that was exciting! Interested to see what happens next.
So I'm confused about the racer count at the end.
Rainbow is 10th. There's one racer, and one interfering Wonderbolt.
We were told that there's 7 Wonderbolts at the head of the race. One seems to have dropped back to deal with the intruder.
That's a total of 9 racers; Rainbow would be in 9th place, not 10th.
So what am I miscounting?
oHOHOHOHO, thaaat's definitely illegal in both the race rules and under the law. No way the cameras didn't catch that. I can see the headline: "NO-IMPLANTS ROOKIE CATCHES UP TO WONDERBOLTS AT CANTER 300 -- WONDERBOLTS ATTACK HER MID-RACE -- SOUR APPLES?"
Unless attempted murder isn't illegal in this world, in which case, damn.
