Seriously, mortal Celestia and Minuette casting temporal magic is a bit much for a story that doesn't have an AU tag.

There's a difference between AU and head canon. AU would have to defy what's been established, which neither of those do. (I mean technically like I said another comments the secondary media does establish that Minuette has time magic.)

So an alicorn's immortality is dependent on a piece of furniture and Minuette can cast magic that a truly powerful mage like Starlight needs the Tree of Harmony (map table) for to power it ... yea, doesn't defy established show canon one bit.
