Tempting, but I chose to focus on the Royal Sisters coming of age as a function of their being able to bond with and control the sun and moon. According to the play "A New Day in Equestria" in S7 E7 Horse Play, the narrator says "Raising the sun every morning was so hard, it took five great sorcerers plus Star Swirl the Bearded to do it", so I thought it would risk confusing the issue by introducing the other Pillars. I'll put them in another story in the future.
