Just browsin' for anything I can't find at Memory Alpha to read.

T

In July of 1996, an aggressive alien species arrived at planet Earth, intent on wiping it clean of life and scavenging all resources on it. When the planet's inhabitants stood together to combat them, they drove the invaders back. 20 years after the first attack, they came back, now with more powerful weapons and ships. But like the first time, Humanity triumphed over the alien threat, thanks to the help of another extraterrestrial race.

Now, another two decades after the second attack, the Harvesters strike once more. But not at Earth, instead at a more primitive world, one populated by colorful, sentient equines that can use magic. Now, with the help of several other species victimized by the invaders, a coalition force races against time to stop another world from suffering the same fate Earth had avoided.

{Note: The story is set after ID4 2 (Resurgence) and set at around the latter part of season six, a few episodes before "To Where and Back Again", just to clarify where we are chronologically. Also, while this is set before the MLP movie and later seasons, all of the locations and characters from them are still existent in the story's continuity.}

Well, happy Independence Day folks!

you could off-screen kill a major character like the sequel did to will smith's character.

Interesting, let's see where this goes

Oh, there's gonna be way more than just fireflies that'll be getting hurt. :fluttercry:

can't wait to see if celestia HURLS the sun at them lmfao

:trollestia: THANK YOU Dragon Lord Torch
:moustache: He loves a good game of shuffle board & frisbee

:derpytongue2: [WELCOME FRIENDS]
:trixieshiftright: [TAKE ME TO YOUR LEADER]
:trollestia: [UNDER NEW MANAGMENT]

Whats your sign say? :rainbowlaugh:

Independence day is one of my favorite movies and seeing its sequel, it was good not the best nor the worst just good, the only thing I like about the sequel was its technological advancements and the existence of the resistance. So I'm keeping an eye on this....Oh and Equus is fuck

My dear queen, it seems like your plan have to be put aside as well as your grudge against equestria if all life on the planet has a chance to survive, the coming harvest. For they shall show no mercy no more, only in a united cause shall all see the light of day.

I really hope she joins the war against the Xenos cause conferred to another military mind in Equus she one of the best in the field if she commands an army.

The resistance has arrived in the nick of time to save Soarin pie loving ass. Wonder if there's a human ship named 'just in time' 'from earth with love' and 'who's back' like the naming convention in halo.

If they blow up the Crystal Empire castle, imagine the explosion from that, as it is massive.

"Outside, quickly!" With that, the two alicorn sisters raced out of the kitchen, but not before Celestia turned off the oven. Didn't want to cause a fire during this strange day.

I sense some foreshadowing here...

I'm just wondering, what technology do the Harvesters have? As in, are the ships more like the first or the second movie?

From the looks of it, the tech they have is from the first movie, but I'm still a little unsure.

Now that's what I was waiting for! I absolutely love destruction and disaster movies, and as soon as I saw this fic, I instantly looked forward to this part. Keep it coming, enjoying every bit of it :)

just go on youtube, a few people explain this in detail

Look like the war for Equus is about to heat up, RD manages to acquire a harvester fighter it seems, someone needs to teach RD on how to pilot that thing effectively and no heroism act during engagements.

One seemed to be a dagger shape, a ring around the pointy sides of the vessel, as well as boasting a set of four large mandibles around the ring. Another ship bore green, seemingly translucent armor, an odd purple glow emitting from the back of the vessel. A third ship had an organic look to it, it had several holes around it's... breathing armor, and Twilight could see several small objects flying in and out from various holes, most likely fighters. The fourth ship was a puzzling one, what was supposed to be one ship was made out of several hexagonal pods, some of them breaking off to assist the defending fighters against the Harvester mothership.

by the look of this description the first ship is a human-inspired ship, the second ship belongs to that green alien species, the third ship maybe belongs to the sphere and the last one I have no idea but I guess is a support ship made by all of them?.

The debriefing scene I have an inkling suspicion that Hiller, Morrison, Dr. And the sphere let the native argumed just to see who shall bring unity among them, and it works.

Turning towards the window, Twilight looked to the world of Equus as she continued. "Today is the day we fight back! Today..." Then, turning back to the now determined crowd, Twilight finished her speech. "..is OUR Independence Day!"

I blame Levison for giving twilight that idea

It would be awesome if all creatures of this world (Good and bad) teamed up to stop the aliens.

One of my favorite action stories

Okay, so the Humans arrived in time to save nearly everypony around along with the other races too, quick question though, what happened to the Equestria Girls Mirror Portal, did Twilight or Discord grab it and bring it with?

It doesn't say, but I'm sure that Discord could create a working replica if they didn't

:twilightsheepish: So this professor saved everyone?
:moustache: Yea, He could make a nuclear reactor out of some wire and coconuts but couldn't fix the hole in the stupid boat
:facehoof: Wrong professor

I'm liking this very much. Deserves more attention than it has :P

Hahaha. I give you two thumbs up with that battle scene in the crystal empire campaign, as well that scene of that Xeno commander thought about the battle of earth, and his deep hatred for humanity. Look like the Harvesters are learning the movements and tactics of the resistance in every battle they face, as well by the look of things advancing their technology in the wake of there second defeat on earth. I wouldn't be surprised if the harvester created a new weapons and plan to kill the children of the earth since mankind become a beacon of defiance, for the fallen. Unfortunately for them, the humans are unpredictable and batshit crazy.

The fight scene of chrysalis and the commander is wonderful, two leaders two hardened warriors fighting face to face as if the God of war demands these two soul tears it's other apart for only one shall stand. For twilight scene, it gives me a giggle that the princess gave spike a scare with her first try. I bet rainbow having a hard time holding herself from showing off, but after the mission, she will understand that being a squad leader she is, she will face the reality of commanding her team to their death, that one wrong judgment may cost her team life. And finally, for the harvester command bridge, you would have thought those buggers would have put defense guns there to avoid the repeat destruction of one of their mothership.

With the battle of the crystal city being over with so many died and dying defenders littered the battlefield, it will be a somber sight for the crystal ponies and it affects the crystal heart negatively, as well this looming news about the royal couple status. The battle will be long and bloody with so many city destroyers left standing, even the mothership is gone there's still a commander giving orders with their respective ships throughout the world. Or I'm wrong about the commanders and their ship?

I feel bad for The Storm King. I hope they at least give him a proper funeral when all of this is over.

I'm hoping for a final battle against the Queen who was on another ship that was drilling to the core this whole time and survived, and that she was looking to uproot the Tree of Harmony this whole time, just like the previous Queen did with The Sphere!

Well, it was fun while it lasted *clap clap* it was wonderful that I came across this good story.

To be honest, I didn't want to leave it alone either. XD

Interesting, but enjoyable

I forgot about this story for a while for some reason, glad to be back reading it again!

Very enjoyable story, great work! Added to favorites now.

Never seen the second one, but the first one I love.

'purple unicorn' - i think you meant alicorn.

Yay, best bughorse.

The real question is... Who is Equestrian Jeff Goldblum?

Well, that went smoothly, though, judging by the first movie, the ship hitting the building shouldn't have exploded, just be disabled.

Hopefully, there’s a sequel that involves the creatures of Equus recovering from their fight against the aliens

Uh, shouldn't the Resistance fleet just blow up the City Destroyers' cannon before they could blow up entire cities all in one? I mean, sure, they have shields, but the Resistance did have drones that could disable energy shields.

Behind Discord were loads of ponies and other various creatures, Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle, the Apple Family, and even Fluttershy's animals.

Okay, so Discord can use his chaos magic to teleport most of the Ponyville population to the ship, but why can't he use chaos magic to Thanos Snapped the Harvesters and their ships all over the world to dust?

Cringe times 100, wtf did they learn to shoot/aim/not have woman aim

I loved it all. Even if they don't make a third movie, this is the closest thing to ever being a sequel. I hope you make a sequel to this great story, my friend. If I had five pairs of hands, ten thumbs up.
