Children will listen.

Cloudy had been told the phrase so long. And today, it felt as though it meant nothing to her daughter Pinkie Pie. Her daughter had gone to find life away from the farm. In the dead of night, Cloudy Quartz goes to her front porch, takes a seat, and reflects on the words she'd been told.

Title from the song of the same name from the musical "Into The Woods".

Nice and serene. One point of nitpickery, though - Luna want moving the moon when Pinkie left the farm, she was still stuck on it.

I kind of always assumed that Cloudy and her family were always well informed about Equestrian legends (because of the old ways) and she'd been told it enough that she considered the moon Luna's.

9752068
Huh. Yeah, I can see that making sense.

9752091
I mean, Pinkie and her siblings might have gone to public school (unless they were homeschooled) and just been told about the sun being Celestia's, but I personally think Cloudy would have taught her that the moon was Luna's and that the princess disappeared one day without a trace. They wouldn't have known that she was Nightmare Moon. At least, that's my logic.

Well the show never really established what the common perception was, if the Mare in the Moon story was wide spread, only that Nightmare Night was. It could be in common Nightmare Night lore Nightmare Moon's origin wasn't explained and "The Moon Princess" was a different legend.

9752237
Yeah, that's why I didn't put that in because I wasn't sure on that part. I only thought for sure that Luna's legend of raising the moon itself would have been handed down.

Very hearthwarming

Excellent Story!
