That kind of makes me think of
Heh, he's applying some butter.
Truly masterful. The best chapter yet!

Get water moving fast enough, and its like being hit by concrete, and get wind moving fast enough, you can throw straw through trees.
The biggest problem with all these powers, is the groups that dont want you to have them, also have them, and are not slow in abusing them when they want to abuse them just for the kicks.

Don’t worry. I use it less to make him lack emotion and more that if he feels himself losing control of those emotions, he can clamp them down.
Example: he is facing a very attractive opponent and she uses this to her advantage by flashing him. He is stunned and she lands a strong blow on him. Battle ends. Next time he faces her, he knows her tactics and brings Gamer’s mind up full force. Now, even when she tries it, his emotions hit a wall that will keep him aware enough in the fight

Honestly, I'd go as far as saying that Gamer's Mind winds up being downright useless most of the time as it always seems to fail at every moment where he would actually need it to work,
9778174
As I said, is helps control his emotions a bit, but needs to be focused on to block out anything major
9778259
I get that it has limits but if it can't even stop him from getting easily embarrassed or flustered then what good is it? It doesn't have to be perfect but it shouldn't be useless to the point where he might as well not even have it. Yeah, I know Micro getting embarrassed or flustered makes for a good gag but it's hard to ignore the fact that Gamer's Mind only seems to work when the plot absolutely needs it to.
9778269
Sadly, there aren’t many other ways to handle it besides the following two
1. It practically strangles his emotions and kill off a lot of character interactions
2. It is only useful when he truly needs it to be
I prefer the latter
9778318
I feel like there should be a happy medium between emotionless robot and so emotional you gotta wonder why Gamer's Mind even exists.
9778324
I always considered it the ability that lets him see the screens as well. If it didn’t exist, he wouldn’t really be able to interact with his ability
9778340
I'm pretty that stuff is just part of Gamer's Body, Mind is supposed to keep you calm and grant immunity to any type of psychological effects.
9778466
Personally, I think it should be keeping his emotions under control while he's fighting, after all, that's the whole point of the Gamer's Mind if it can't do that much he might as well not even have it. Outside of battle, it doesn't really matter as much.
I actually don't mind the idea that it only works if he chooses to turn it on but why wouldn't he just turn it on whenever he's about to go into a fight. I get that he might not have expected it to be an issue but after the first time he wound up getting embarrassed during a fight why wouldn't he always clamp down on it in future fights? Having his emotions running freely during a battle doesn't offer him any advantages and even if turning off his emotions did end up blowing up in his face it would at least offer up an actually in-story reason for him not to use it and would be better than Gamer's Mind not working just because it would be inconvenient for the Comedy aspect of the story.

You figure he'd keep it up the whole battle. Whats the point of status immunity if you only use it after it happens. Diamond tiaras a good example. If he uses gamers mind after the fact it shouldnt be allowed to clear a allready applied effect like charm curse or confusion ...examples. He's still getting used to the power and battles but if hes gonna keep letting his guard down in battles eventually someone will slip a status effect on him thatll get someone hurt. Imagined a charmed micro attacking his own team while holding nothing back. Not like a dnd moment where your required to attack your team so you throw a stick at someone. But a im forced to use the most efficient way to kill my team like power word kill on the mage/cleric because i was ordered.

Fair enough. From here on out, I probably will do something like that. During fights, he will clamp it down on most of his emotions. By that I mean he will leave enough for them to leak through so he doesn’t have any moments where his friends are in trouble but logically it makes the most sense to leave them and finish the fight. That sort of thing.
Sorry if I was being a little stubborn. I did want to have the comedy here (especially with Shiro first coming into play) but from now on I will do it like this.
Heck, I may even include a section where he realizes that if he/she will get flustered like that, he should close those emotions off
9778495
I agree. After thinking it over (and putting author bias and stubbornness aside). I responded to a comment by everyday gamer and summarized what I plan to do from now on
9778501
You have frida and shiro who are veterans of combat to get him accustomed to battles. Hes still technically a noob. So he's still learning the ropes. I could see frida trying to break that flaw of his real quick upto the point of jumping outta the bushes a locker or something else naked till jumping into gamers mind becomes reflexive and if she gets a reaction their will be consequences. She can even rope pinkie pie into it.... (she might even be a reward at the end of the training ... giggity)... or will pinkie goto sugars herd.
9778519
That’s a good idea. Might add that into the plan. Still debating Sugar’s harem.
9778519
If anything, Shiro would be the one to teach him to fight WITH the emotions. Fighting by using his emotions are one of the things almost every version of Shiro shares.
9778930
Hmmmm ... for regular how to fight with weapons/skills/powers hes the better teacher but mentally id go with frida ... fridas got the calm methodical killer mindset shes a trained assassin ... yah shes goffing around now but i got a feeling if she has to kill she wont mess around like shiro whose chaotic for a reason. So if you want to use gamers mind which is suppossed to be activated during battle to get the immunity effect ... go with fridas way kill quickly efficiently dont hold back... when she first met micro in her house she went right for the kill im not saying micro should be a mindless killer but right now it feels like hes treating life and death battles like a joke... if its learning how to use abilities and fight training learning how to get through obstacles id go with shiro but mentally he messes around to much in my opinion.
I like Scoots even more now. Me and her want to be lightning users.
I know a way to get the gamer ability
