The CMC have been harboring feelings of jealousy for some time. Now things have come to a head. Can the Rainbooms succeed in preventing the fate of Anon-A-Miss? Or will the CMC get more than they bargained for when they open their hearts wide to the feelings of Jealousy and Resentment within?

A tale of Anon-A-Miss done right, better origins, better use of characters and ideas and hopefully a better conclusion. Then again it could just be a total flop, but it's an attempt at doing something with the concept of Anon-A-Miss as seen in the Equestria Girls Holiday Special comic if it hadn't been held back from publication.

So in this take, the CMC aren't going through with Anon-A-Miss of their own volition?

This does make the conflict more believable, though there's still the Rainbooms' bahaviour from the comic to fix; how they all instantly turned on Sunset without bothering to investigate further.

Ooh! This is a VERY interesting idea. I shall follow.

This was actually a lot better than I was expecting. The second paragraph in the story's description certainly didn't fill me with confidence :unsuresweetie:

For not having an editor of any sort, this was pretty reasonable. You could certainly use one, sure, but I didn't have to work overtime to mentally correct mistakes as I read.

This has some real potential. It was nice to see some buildup for the CMC creating Anon-a-Miss. I'm looking forward to seeing this continued.

Hello Daveman! Nice to see you again.

Same to you Blue. How goes the progress on your new take?

Yes. The Sirens had their chance and had failed spectacularly, now they were off who knew where trying to come to terms with the loss of their abilities. So why not change their new vessels into something more suitable for the holidays? It was time for the Windigos to return.

Discord, I swear to God, one of these days someone's gonna put you down.

Proceeding well thanks. Just putting the finishing touches to the second chapter (4,000 words and counting!).

Blue...horse fish? .....no....no...Please, tell me it's not who I think it is?

“Nah. The cold never bothered me anyway,”

:trixieshiftleft:

The need for an editor continues, but the story direction still looks solid.

I'm hopeful my search for an editor will bear fruit. Sadly no takers so far.

Apple Bloom's already gone. Only a matter of time before the other two follow suit.

I KNEW IT!
I knew those blasted sirens have something to do with this! I knew they obviously want to get revenge on Sunset for ruining their plans! The CMC's petty jealousy is just the window of golden opportunity they need for them to make their move. So now, the CMC are becoming brand new puppets for them. The question I have now is: This is taking place after RR, so how are they using magic despite their pendents are now broken?

9531501
Umm no no no. You got ti wrong. If you read the description and such. You get it.

When the sirens were blasted, they were turned fully human or so to speak. But the bits on them being sirens weren't destroyed.
So the essence of the sirens did.............eehh eehh you can figure it out.

This is gonna get nasty, I can feel it. But, are they under the magic's control or physically mutating into the Sirens?

Hmmm, interesting. I do wonder how this will develop as the story continues.

Another corker of a chapter. Keep it rolling!

Interesting situation with Sweetie.

This continues to be very good. Keep it up.

Surprised neither of the two raised the "How does this lead to our getting attention and love from our sisters?" question, especially since this may be the only version of this story I've seen where the question's answerable.

Doesn't have to be. It's a dream, after all, and it's not like the thing talking has its own face or body to wear.

A bit surprised. I'd expected most of the energy to be what the sirens had harvested, some of which had been around them long enough to pattern a bit off of them. I'd also have expected Aria to be far more initially hostile. ...Admittedly, it's unclear that sirens and windigoes really would be natural enemies "in the wild", to the extent of trying to kill one another on sight, causing me to realize I'd been making assumptions about them having very different dietary preferences - with windigoes not feeding off negative emotions but sustained indefinitely in the absence of life in their vicinity. But that wouldn't be useful for this story.

Though Sweetie Belle's entrance into the world of being a Windigo is rather inconsistent with the other two, it still intrigues me and kinda makes sense. Aria doesn't seem the type to give in to all the dramatic formalities. Though the "Windy" character is odd. And, if I had paired the groups, I'd have gone Apple Dazzle, Scoota Blaze, and Sweetie Dusk. But the contrast in Sweetie is pretty neat to see.

The Canterlot Movie Club blinked several times as they could once again think clearly and they began to process what was going on.

Are we really still calling them that? After Anon a miss, I just started calling them the Canterlot MyStable Cunts. And don't threaten me because I know you hate them just as much as I hate the Rainbooms.

“Ah hate Sunset Shimmer.” Apple Bloom’s declaration drew nods of agreement from her two companions.

Me too Applebloom.

Scootaloo sighed, but joined her friends as they left the area. You saw one magical song number you’d seen them all, even if Rainbow was super awesome with her wings. “Why can’t we have magical transformations? It’d be so cool if we could fly like Rainbow Dash.”

Gotcha covered Scootaloo.

Scootaloo puffed her cheeks up slightly in anger and glared at her two friends. “I AM NOT A CHICKEN!”

Yes she is.

As she rejoined her friends she failed to notice when a small surge of magical energies seemed to flicker between the rapidly disappearing group and her own friends. It was a tiny wisp of magic, but it was something unusual. And it was strange enough to warrant the growing sense of discomfort Scootaloo was feeling at that moment.

See? Now you have it.

Apple Bloom chuckled. “Nah. The cold never bothered me anyway,” she stated cryptically.

Big Yummy 👍like.

Why does reading always knock me out?

Sunset had never seen CHS this divided before, not even when the Sirens were spreading their negativity. At least the cliques had stayed together during that time, but here entire social groups were separating and dividing. Friends were no longer on speaking terms and, to make matters worse, everyone just kept ignoring her attempts at rekindling the Fire of Friendship.

Yes Yes YES!
