Golden Tassel

Once upon a time, I knew a Ukrainian prince. I hope he's okay

This story is a sequel to Sweet Nothings

2023/05/13 --This story is in an experimental, transitional state. Mind the gap.

Mum's Diner is a small wasteland town, owing its name to the sign on an old building that had once been a rest stop along a lonely highway and now serves as an inn for travelers and a trading hub that supports the wayward ponies who have made it their home.

This story takes place five years following the events of Sweet Nothings. Lucky Day struggles to integrate. Starry Night dreads a return to her home. And Chrysanthemum has a new guest to care for.

Among other things, it's an exploration of community: what it means to live as part of one and apart from any. In Sweet Nothings, I told a story that was largely about being alone. In this I hope to tell one about how not to be.

2021/03/16 - On hiatus while I study and hone my storytelling craft and restructure the whole story as I've now come to understand it. Currently published chapters will be replaced entirely before new publication resumes.
