Rock humor is the best kind of humor

This rocks!

How in the world did you make rock puns so adorable and uplifting?

Aww, Maud and Boulder have a very gneiss relationship. And reading this story about them was an earthly delight. I'm sure Boulder will be able to sand up for himself one day.

Glad you liked it!

You may only be a five point five on the Mohs scale of hardness, but you're a ten on Maud's scale of heartness.

Magnificent.

Boulder had no words.

"Uhh..." :applejackunsure:

Not a bad little read. It's unusual for Maud to display emotion, but her little pep talk here was certainly accented with her heartfelt sedimen—er... sentiments. :twilightsheepish:

I especially liked the little bits of rock humor, as well as the portion recalling from Maud's memory how she got her cutie mark, in large part because of her sister's positive reaction to her interests. The idea that Maud's enthusiasm for rocks could be a bit beyond even her own rock farming family's understanding was also pretty original, and it seems surprisingly quite plausible put the way you wrote it - I never would've thought of that!

Short, but quietly entertaining. Thanks for the share!

Came for the puns, stayed for the subtlety. This was a fab little read; thank you for sharing your work!

I was expecting a pure comedy piece, but I'm adding it as a favorite because it actually had a wholesome, inspirational tone to it. Well done!~
