Different stuff for different people bruh, I like poly stuff because for the MLP universe it seems like they would be the best at having something like that.

I dunno if you were the one that dislike it or anything, but thanks for giving some feedback!

I haven't voted no.
That is alright, I just don't think they should be 100% compared to horses but i don't want to start that talk again, I wish you luck with your story.

I still think it could be good, but I don't have high hopes for Anons in stories which I believe he is right? I got the feeling there is a certain tendency for his personality which I don't always enjoy and not many try something else as far as I notice it.

Interesting start, though I'm wondering if you're biting off more than you can chew by trying to have three universes working simultaneously here. Regardless, this is a good first chapter, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of this.

Just please, for the love of all that's holy... "could of" is not a thing. "Could have" is.

This was a really great start, I can't wait to read more my friend.

Right sorry :twilightblush: grammar wasn't my best class, science was so i've forgotten a lot of the 'no-no's of grammar

Three universes are eaaassy :ajsmug: I spent a lot of time working on the inner mechanics of the MLP universe and all of it is ironically universal in function. It simplifies but also deviates in pattern for each universe, the guy's universe is close enough in major mechanics to be compatible with Equis's :twistnerd:

Oh its not just the closeness to horse like nature, rather a cultural evolution with the ponies themselves. These ponies by nature are empathic, herbivorous, and stick to each other with a mentality of 'safety in numbers'.

The deep need for love and harmony is mostly through the fear of magical beasts such as the windigos, large predators, hostile environments, and other sentient beings on the planet which would naturally make the three tribes form very tight and close-knit groups which over the many years would become a cultural polygamy mentality.
Humans for example before known modern religious documents were much more lax in the idea of sex, relationships, and love. Humanity however was shaped by the modern religious ideology following the idea of monogamous relationships and has bled into cultural society of how things said above became more structured into the whole 'only two people' mentality.

My understanding of the show, when looked at it through a lens of 'what if this society was real' I came to the conclusion that they would have dynamic and fluid relationships with no real preference for either biological gender depending on whether or not they wished to have children or sexual preference.
Alas, I digress.

its not anon in this, he has a name its going to be shown in chapter two. So if you ever continue reading its their own unique being.

When you say "could of" aloud, you're actually saying could've, the contraction. Ditto for would of → would've, should've, etc.

Also, I don't understand the 'absurdly high ages' thing. In canon, 1000 years passed between the banishing and the freeing of Nightmare Moon. If ponies regularly lived 200 years, that means 5 generations have passed since banishment. If they lived 500+, it would be 2-3 generations. Either years aren't measured the same way as on Earth, or the banishment actually happened 10,000 or 100,000 years ago... which is a whole different issue.

9323277
ahhhhhhhh please show me where that mishap happened, because its the second time someone has mentioned it.

Years are different, due to the universe I created them in. You see this world is a alternative of Too Sweet a Deal, and in that au the whole of the continent that Equestria is founded on is actually within a reality fracture because of how magic in their universe works (it comes from hyper plannar threads that are smaller than quarks and exist within several realities at once which is what mana an magic is formed from)

The sun and moon within this dome of a pseudo pocket dimension is actually artificial, created out of the necessity to keep the planet from dying out in certain areas of just nothing but pitch black endless void above the planet's atmosphere. Aging in this mana rich dome lessens considerably expanding their lifespans to about 400 of our years, however their calendar is different from ours they run on a 28/7 cycle period and smaller months; they have about 15 small months in their calendar since their actual planet takes that long to cycle the sun, but the artificial one is controlled by magic which makes time weird when compared to the outside of the dome. Its why they use the word 'Moons' when speaking of time passing since they are talking about both the artificial one and the real one outside the dome.

technically, Ivory is older than a human lifespan, but so would Twilight even though I mention her age to be about 25. But for posterity's sake, I just used our years to label their age. Ivory is 132 of our years an Twilight is 25 of ours as well.
probably needs to be adjusted but thats what i'm working on

yes this is good you don't see to many mayor mare stories

I could of made myself a foci but that would of cost more than my eight years in law school combined.

I found it boss, sorry I missed it on the editing pass.

9323287
just ctrl+f search "could of" and you'll find them.

Regarding the time thing, none of that matters to this. If ponies live to 400, (where humans/canon ponies 80-100) then the world itself needs to change, too. The history of the world in particular. At least you didn't do the whole 'CMC are 50 years old' thing...

Answer this: How long ago, in human years, was Nightmare Moon banished? If you make the 'previous generation' 100 years older than the current generation, even if only culturally, that means 10 generations have passed since Nightmare Moon was banished if it's still 1000 years. 10 generations on Earth going by human average is about 300 years. There should be 35-40 generations of separation between banishment and return if you want "The Legend" to still be a legend and not simply history.

That's the biggest issue with long-lived ponies.

9323906
Perhaps it is history to them, the only reason I made them that long live was because Granny Smith is well over 200 to 300 years old since she was there for the founding of the town.

so while I had this big post on explanation, im just gonna make it that it happened 5,000 years ago rather than 1,000 to make it slightly more accurate but I feel as though Princess Celestia wouldn't just make her up as a fairy tail. Since she wouldnt want to tarnish her name, I think she just let the ponies think what they want and the 'legend' of mare in the moon was formed

:rainbowlaugh:

It felt at first like the date thing felt too quick but nope seems to work. I am wondering on the lifespan thing though.

Interesting view of how herding would work. Also it should be mottled as opposed to molted why Ivory is describing herself in the mirror.

I love this story and I can see it going far.

I thought estrous cycles were season dependent.

9346698
my cannon is that they are unique to each mare, their evolution from seasonal heats is now more that mares can have periods of estrous depending on genetics. Some only have heat once every two months, some have heats that last a day but end up happening way more than others, some still follow seasonal lines, some just have no reaction at all but can still have foals at any time

Wait so the herd consists of twilight Aaron(pokemon has ruined that name for me) ivory, pinkie and Molly redheart

I approve

9347782
So herds can be very dynamic in structure

For this herd so far its

Aaren-Ivory-Twilight as the main group

Aaren will later start to see Molly, but Molly isnt in a romantic relationship with Twilight or Ivory however she is considered a herdmate because of her relationship with Aaren.

Twilight and Pinkie are in a very close relationship but she is both sexually intimate with Aaren and Ivory but mainly focuses on Twilight because Pinkie loves Twilight but also wants to love on her herd.

Dynamics in herds are a tad confusing but they are very healthy when it comes to having relationships with those in the main group and outside of it.

Basically any truly healthy polyamorous relationships allow others to love who they love, and they always get together and talk. Ponies themselves have a culture that is incredibly trusting of others and love is shared freely with others be it platonic or intimate.

I like this. This gives me the warm fuzzies; just good feelings all over. I needed this. Thank you.

*gives you about three paragraph of rough draft third chapter* owo

9349521
Haha! I really can't wait for more of your story, it's an interesting concept to say the least.

I hope the story continues

9450553
Then I will let you work purple book horse

9450556
You got any suggestions or hopes for the next chapter?

9450606
Maybe have the human get taught equestria etiquette, social rules, and he intern tells him the difference between worlds like how he would feel like he's cheating on them because it was hammers into him that only two people could be together at a time

9565804
Kinda Its just the small stuff that grinds me to a halt, like romantic dialogue and hell writing their date is just taking waaaay to long

why do I do this to myseeelllff!
