In the year 2015, Billy Cranston was living a happy life. Documenting and assisting new Ranger Teams, as well as researching the Morphing Grid, he lived happily in his apartment in Canterlot. But when a series of anomalies spike his detectors in the local high school, he calls upon his old friend to help discover what has gone down there.
Enter, Tommy Oliver. Professor in Paleontology, High School Teacher....and the greatest Power Ranger to ever live. Upon getting the call from his old friend, he reluctantly moves to this new school and discovers a group of girls with magical powers, as well as a new series of monsters attacking the school.
With this, he takes the girls to become Power Rangers, and take on whatever threat this school, and by proxy, the world may need defending from.

So 6 rangers to start and 7th later on. I'd guess Billy gets plans to build a morpher for Princess Twilight but they will end up needing to give it to Sci-Twi as part of beating Midnight Sparkle. And we know what civilian powers the girls get already. Also clearly Flutters gets a shield weapon, Pinkie gets artillery, AJ something to smash with, and Rainbow a sword. Am curious are we going to get Pony Zords or maybe mythological animals native to Equestria?

Completely new team. I've never watched any Sentai myself, and honestly have no interest in it. Me and my co-writer have quite a bit planned out, and most of the powers figured out.

Exiting to hear, although Sentai is great, I've never met a Power Rangers fan who I'd ever believe if they said they haven't at least once thought up their own original team. Some of them are extremely creative to.
(Mine was basically just Mystic Force 2 though, what do you expect from it when I thought it up when I was only 8 and Mystic Force was the current team.)

Humm many possible ways to bring twilight in. She makes her own morpher and does a heel face turn running around as a mystery ranger for a bit?(how does she know the monster's weakness?) She makes evil morphers is forced to use one and made to fight the rangers getting her morpher "purified" to be defeated?(evil power rangers episode) She starts purposely designing blatant "boss weak spots" in monsters then gets caught and use as bait in a trap as punishment?

So when it comes to Grace, we're planning to more use her comic version as a guideline rather than adapt her 1 to 1. For example, we had to change her timeline wise, as instead of being from a Moon Mission in 1969, she's from one in 1986 (those dates are important btw) since well...she'd be in her 60s if we stuck with that.
As for Grace's fate, well, that's for me to know, and for you to find out
