Ah, yes. Slender Man. In truth, he doesn't look one bit scary. He just looks the way he does, strange and mysterious. However, people are terrified of him for one reason: The tension, the feeling of despair and uneasiness as you know that he is there, waiting to grab you and whisk you away but it is impossible to turn around and check. That is why the Slender game is getting more and more popular; it makes your mind do all the work for you. Your brain thinks up of all the dastardly scenarios you would be put in if he were to be right be hind you and your vision goes hazy. What's worse is that we never know what truly happens to his victims. They disappear and go missing, but we don't know if they are alive or dead. It's the psychological fear that makes people love him and fear him so much.
I'm going to keep track of this story. You set up the plot pretty good and your writing style is really amazing. Hope to see it completed soon.
I'm trying to piece together what the CMC's reactions would be. Obviously, Apple Bloom already believes in Slender Mane. Sweetie Belle, according to the first diary entry, is starting to believe in him as well. Scootaloo, however, is in denial and wishes to only believe what RD believes. However,, adults don't believe in him and never will. It's a universal rule that as people (or in this case, ponies) grow older, they tend to become more realistic and kill off any signs of creativity they used to have. Only a small group of individuals retain their wild imaginations they had since childhood (or foalhood). Still, it's quite depressing to know that it was because of this ignorance that children are forced to take the matter into their own hands (or hooves). This might be what causes Slender Man to target children more often, as they are usually pushed aside by adults who think they are just playing around or have their imaginations growing wild.
Things seem to be getting much worse for the CMC. Something tells me you're going to tie this story with the Slender game, with the group going to look for clues in the forest. However, something also tells me that not all of the CMC are going to come out alive, maybe all of them might disappear by the end of the story. The first might be Sweetie Belle, who is most likely the most terrified of the group or Scootaloo, who is always in denial and tries to put on a brave face. Well, only time will tell.

That ending made me want to punch whoever that pony was. Honestly, some people could be so blind to the truth once they find someone to blame. Twilight is slightly correct about not letting the CMC partake in the investigation, seeing as Slendermane is targeting foals. However, the CMC are SO going to go into the forest again, if not to look for Slendermane then to clear Zecora's name. Then the direction will turn to Slender and only one of them will be left to look for all eight pages...
Oh God, don't take that summary seriously! Please!
