"The Scarlet Moon is Kiva's herald"
This is the one fact known to all of Ponyville, the sleepy town haunted by a masked killer. Silent, except for the odd sound of a flute, summoning the Herald. And in the morning? Bodies. Crushed, full of holes, or slashed. All of them bearing the mark of Kiva. The victims? Good ponies, ones the town has known for years. The Guard's been organized to try and catch this masked killer, and Ponyville's own Elements of Harmony are after him as well.
Just one small catch. Fluttershy, the Element of Kindness is Kiva, and the good ponies she's killing? Fangires, stained glass monsters out for pony blood.
Everyone has a devil inside. The question is, does Fluttershy?

Not really, this fic will be a focus for me this month, but I'm still planning on working on my other pieces as well. Been neglecting To the Stars amongst other pieces.
Mind you, I am rather annoyed about the dislikes I'm getting here. Know I shouldn't let them bother me, but they still do. Really, I keep wanting a thing where you have to enter 100 words about why you didn't like the fic before you're allowed to downvote it. Like I said, think about where Kivat would end up if these were regular ponies. Right near Kiva's withers, aka her crotch. Really rather awkward frankly. Plus, anthros make it easier for Kiva to hold her weapons. If she was unmasked as a regular pony, I suppose I could have her take the Fallout Equestria route and use a tongue trigger for the Basshaa Magnum, but that'd just be ludicrous and Kiva can't summon the Basshaa Magnum outside of his/her transformed state anyways.

Good start; though it was a bit wordy at times, I expect to enjoy following it.
Also, I overcame the Kiva holding things/Kivat belt problems in my own "Kivashy" story by making the belt a collar and having pop-out horseshoe graspers on her hooves do the holding for her, in case you were wondering if it was possible.

Huh, that's an interesting way of doing it. Though one (Looking at you Rainbow Dash) would probably question why Fluttershy is wearing a collar around her neck, and might ask if she's into something like pet play.
Im looking forward to seeing where this goes! Kiva was kind of my introduction to Kamen Rider and one of my inspirations to try learning the violin & Flutters is my favorite of the Mane 6.
So far everything seems like an interesting mix, though i would say im surprised by the anthro. I tend to think the interaction between Toku heroes and their normal world societies are part of the appeal, so i would have expected EQG along the lines of the Kamen Rider Unicorn series. But i am excited to see how you flesh out this spin on Equestria.

Yeah, I don't really think that's it frankly, because a lot of these groups do relate to the story in some way considering the Mane Six are all supporting characters here. And even if that were the case, a few of my other stories would have suffered in this way as well.
I still think it's more likely that it's because it's Fluttershy I've placed in the role of a serial killer/technically monster hunter and people are quick to judge as soon as they see who it is and not read the full description. Others are downvoting just because "Lol, I can" as people are dicks.

Usually groups geared toward a character are for when those characters are the main character(s) of a story or more than just an anomalous "supporting character" role. If all, let's say, Rarity groups had all stories where Rarity just makes an appearance, then those groups get filled with a lot more stories and hidden gems where Rarity is an actual impact to the story are watered down in the selection and don't actually get the views they would otherwise deserve from those seeking Rarity stories.
I'm just sayin,' that's all.
And just to note, I haven't voted either way because I'm not interested in this story. It popped up in a feed of a character group I'm in and I don't see how this pertains to that character at all. I don't plan to read it, just not my cup of tea.

Ok, kinda surprised you don't know about that joke. You used a cliche in your story where someone is given something that is going to make them happy, like concert tickets or being one day away from retirement and is then killed for shock value, so the audience feels bad for him. It's frequently mocked with, and he was only one day away from retirement when someone gets killed in a story. For further explanation TVTropes!

Huh, really? For me, it was Gaim, frankly because two of my sorta-friends on Discord wouldn't shut up about it so I finally decided to see what they were on about. I was rewarded greatly, and the only Kamen Rider series I've watched so far that even equals Gaim is Double. (Which, btw I do have a story written about in Fang and Nazca.)
Me, it's Twilight frankly because I can identify with her bookworm status a lot more along with her trouble socializing and worry-wort tendencies but for these two reasons I do identify with Fluttershy as well.

Y'know...after hearing about Ramon's backstory... It would be interesting if, once Tempest and Twilight learn of the Fangires' existence, Kiva left a message about "the truth behind the Siren's exile", and that said message lead to Twilight somehow talking with the Dazzlings. I know that is a SEVERELY UNLIKELY PROCESSION OF EVENTS, but I just thought it was interesting to consider.
With all the information that was dumped in this chapter it seems odd that Celestia and Luna are not aware of Kiva and whose bloodline it runs in. I understand that the organization is supposed to be secret but if they where working with the gaurd the government should have an idea of what is going on. All Celestia would half to say is there are a group of vary dangerous entities running around and Kiva is dealing with it. Still let's see how Tempest deals with her new powers.

Yeah, I'm with you there. If Kiva started as an incredibly top-secret part of an already highly secret branch of the Solar Guard, I would assume that at least Celestia would know of Fluttershy's identity. Or at least do something to prevent Kiva from being seen as the killer.
But on the other hand, that would mean Celestia would have to let leak, at least to Twilight and her Royal Guard, that there are a race of monsters that can masquerade as normal ponies. And the icing on that cake is that the Fangires could be almost anypony. So there is no guarantee that there are no Fangires amongst the ranks of the Royal Guards. It would make sense for them to have individuals in a place where they can get easy access to the rulers of Equestria.

Exactly, it would just be like the Changeling race all over again, and this assumes Celestia even knows of the Fangires. After all, if her mentor Starswirl didn't, who's to say she knows? Luna might, but she might have assumed the Fangires destroyed long ago after her battle with King, or at the very least far away from Equestria in fear of her.
So, the premise alone looks basically like every other "crossover" fic I've seen.
I put it in quotations cause those types of stories...aren't really crossovers. They're basically just taking one story and putting characters from another story into it to fill the roles. There's nothing really new about them.
I will give this a look when I'm done reading chap 19 of History Uncovered. Hopefully this turns out good.
