To think that a pony can go from enemy to more than friend in a matter of a month is mind blowing. Especially for this mare.
Fizzlepop Berrytwist, formerly Tempest Shadow, has been promoted by Princess Celestia to be Twilight Sparkle's personal royal guard, after she risked her life to save Twilight's. It's been the best month of her life so far. But in this time, Fizzlepop has learned a new side of Twilight; the comforting, friendly side. And she has a massive crush on her now. But how should she confess? And more importantly, how would Twilight respond?
Twilight Sparkle is overjoyed to have a new guard, and especially a new friend. But recently, she's felt a happy, tingly feeling inside that she can't quite explain. And it only happens around Fizzlepop.
Takes place 1 month after the events of the movie, in the universe where Fizzlepop gets promoted to Twilight’s royal guard directly after the movie.

What is this fandom's unhealthy obsession with Tempest ever being this? Guards are for lame princesses. Twilight is too awesome for it.

Guards are ceremonial too. Wanting Twilight to have a guard is not saying she's a damsel to be rescued. We just want her to have the same sort of respect as any of the other royals. Boy howdy,is she ever going to get that in season 9
Fizzlepop also competent. That's its own class of attractiveness. We like Twidash for instance because Dash is as to flying as Twilight is to magic. Sure it might become a trope to have Fizzle as a guard, but how many fics out there have Dash give up flying for farming? Ponies tend to stick with what they are good at.
Plus being a guard puts you in emotional / physical closeness to a person. It worked for Shining

Look, I'm a sucker for romance as much as the next chap, but Fizzlepop...? Way too sappy here. She's not a pony who would just want to hug and snuggle and blush red at every little thing as this one would. To be honest, what I'm seeing here is a caricature. This Tempest seems like a normal pony, while the one we see in canon is a fairly damaged pony who wouldn't seemingly have all her issues resolved in one month.
Seriously, it's been outright confirmed that Tempest has a lot of self-loathing, and actually imagined the image in her flashback of her childhood friends hating her when in fact it was the exact opposite. Instead, they wanted to be friends with her, and Fizzle just didn't know how to interact with them anymore.
No... Just no.
Who are you and what have you done with the real Princess Celestia?

Thank you for your feedback! I like to think that Twilight softened her and that she only shows her soft side to Twilight, like at the end of the movie. It’s just my opinion, though.

The only one doesn't know is Flurry Heart even though she's a baby at least have her opinion on this.

Oh yeah! She's very smart, but I didn't think she would like sitting in a meeting or waiting for them to arrive! Also, I'm sure Starlight will tell her and Sunburst. Who knows? Maybe I'll make a separate story for that event~
