Great sequel!
At first i didn't liked it or was not a fan of the shadow thing, but then it started to sound like the origin story of some weird super hero "Equestrian man" or something werid.
No, but seriously I think there are some characters that meet their demons and no matter if they turn out bad or not, they make creatures like that shadow thing into their new power.

as usually I can't exactly tell you what I fear could happen that makes the story bad, but I think I'm kind of interessted in a story about Crystal and a foal/filly.
Maybe even in the same universe, I mean this is the first time I would be actually okay with it, that and if you want you can let their pov's change, can make Crystals foal into Drakes new best friend and maybe make Rainbow date her or something.
Then I'm not sure if I would prefer the kids to make them date or trick them into dating or if I want Rainbow Dash to fight for a date against the probably sstubborn Crystal.
I would have only two things to say.
1. I want to see it that one of them is interessted and the other needs to be convinced to give it a chance, here probably Crystal because she maybe says something about her job and dating a patients mother or something like that.
2. I actually forgot the second thing I think.
Well I think you could focus a lot of chapters on the adoption, the mother son bonding (slice of life), then have some therapy chapters with Crystal and Drake, then let it slowly reach the point where Rainbow get'S interessted in her, that would let a room for a sequel too.
It was not the sequel I imaged we would get, but it was good enough in the end even if I wanted to make one or two jokes about what i had read here and there.
I think that the sequel was written this way, was actually what made me okay with imaging a character change for a possible sequel. Normally I hate it to get used to a character and have a sequel with another uninteressting cast of characters i have to "learn" to like again.
i loved this story i enjoyed it but i gotta ask for another one but base it around his and dash's relationship but also add a couple chapters based on him actually growing wings and the pain he goes through also add chapters on him trying and succeeding in helping angela orosco leave her purgetory and finally have peace
