Doesn't really do anything with its premise, then again, I'm unsure how much could be done with it in the first place.
The scope of porn fics is how kinky can you make the sex. Character attachment, depth, and such help fuel the kinkiness.
The fic spends too long getting to the sex with conflict that isn't explored due to the scope. Spike is worried about the repercussions for the photos, is told he would have gotten them anyway, then gets a blowjob.
Your conflicts tend to be half-baked and easily resolved. We know they're going to fuck, so there is no suspense or worry. You couple play against the audience expectations somehow and still keep the sex but don't.
You also can't give the depth the conflicts need to be properly executed. It's not within the scope of the story. This is understandable, but it begs the question: why introduce these profound conflicts in the first place?
They don't develop, they can't be explored, they are easily resolved. They take up the plot and hold back the sex without making the act kinkier.
The solution is either to use remove the profound plot or use it solely to amplify the act of sex.
