The Doctor, after 25 regenerations, wishes for a place to call home for his final one. The Tardis goes crazy, throwing his regenerating body around before landing in a mysterious land where he, and most creatures, are talking equines. Derpy tries to calm her nerves as she goes through her first day as a mail mare. When the Doctor meets Derpy, a string of events unfurl, thrusting the unlikely pair into space and time. With the doctor's lack of knowledge in all things Pony and Derpy's clumsy nature, how will the two fair in the wide world of Equestria?

This is great start on a story.

I’ve been debating cybermen. So far, a solid maybe. I haven’t decided. But I’m thinking most likely since they are a staple of doctor who, but they need a good moment to come

Hehehehehehe! Yes! I love it already.

I can hear the murderous rage of bronies in the distance.

Changlings.. I love and don't love them.

Velmenni Virtuoso

More like Dr. Steinman

“Oh, but I do. I will make you better! If you fear changing for the betterment of pony kind, then I can take away your fear...and sadness, anger...any emotion. Actually, I could take them all out! Then you can think logically! Thinking together. You can be my prototype, Dity. Just. Hold. Still!”

Yup. Dr. Steinman

NEVer played bioshock, so I will admit that is an interesting coincidence

Derpy is not fat. She is just more cuddly.

Slitheen was the name of the family of Raxacoricofallapatorians that the Doctor encountered on Earth.

I believe they were the species of aliens too since the 11th mentioned them again during the pandorica.

Oh no the Doctor thinks he's got to leave.

Chapter 18, Chapter 20. Did you forget Chapter 19?

No, just a numbering issue that I fixed. Thank you for letting me know about it.

Something she will do in her future is cause of things in her past.

Predestination Paradox. The most annoying bit of time travel.

Why do people keep pairing the Doctor up with Derpy?

9001587
for Amathyst: she hasn't seen Derpy so happy before
the mane six see them as friends except for Rarity, te pony most loving a good love story
Sombra is a king of a nation with love at the center, so he likes to ship

9001587
Oh, and the crystal ponies are following Sombra's instructions.

So, in this timeline, Celestia is the root cause of both the disappearance of the Crystal Empire and of Nightmare Moon. When The Doctor & Derpy get back to Derpy's present... which I just recalled is the day Twilight arrives in Ponyville. Oh, this is giving me a temporal headache.

I meant in real life. Also, I thought Time Lords had an unlimited amount of regenerations.

Ah, fair question. From what I gathered, it started with the simple fact that their last names sounded similar (Derpy Hooves and Doctor Whooves).

As for me, I watched the audio drama on youtube of Doctor Whooves and the assistant and fell in love with the pairing. I think its the idea of a simple but beautiful pony with a clutzy but well-meaning nature seems to balance out the doctor's more serious tones. She helps him see beauty in life. But that's just a theory.

I am thinking this leads to how her eyes get damaged, and possibly also towards how she got her mark. A mark which isn't bubbles, but universes that are as delicate as soap bubbles. And, at some point in her future, she somehow triggers something that causes a cascade reaction across the multiverse.

Doctor: She's the detonator. But she's not the bomb. The bomb that can destroy the multiverse is still out there. You've all been going after the wrong target. GO FIND THE BOMB!

You are insanely close, my friend! But generally in target.

Man what a great story. Although one thing does bother me is was double chapter 44 intentional

One of the best Doctor speeches I have ever heard, and I have seen most of the surviving OG episodes. This is a great story so far, and a rare one that I have to take breaks from. Too emotional for me to binge read l.

:derpyderp2:

This seems glorious, and I know this is old, but a few suggestions, if you haven’t changed these/already gotten them: you might want to double space between paragraphs, it’s what people tend to do, and I think it looks cleaner, but feel free to take that one with a grain of salt. My one other suggestion is to break up big paragraphs more, I can’t remember the all the reasons why, but i believe it looks cleaner, and it can help someone find their place easier. I would say to take this with a grain of salt, as I don’t remember all the reasons, but maybe a smaller grain of salt. It’s advice/a subject that I’ve seen talked about, so I think there are good reasons for it.

I’m reminded of Alcatraz Vs The Evil Librarians. Derpy’s talent is breaking things, isn’t it? The bubbles are something representing fragility or something similar?

Something that has me a bit off here, you have the doctor insisting that he doesn’t believe in magic, but in “The Shakespeare Code” episode, he is seen to explicitly say that it exists, as a system separate to science, saying that humans chose science, and the witches species they were up against chose magic, or something along those lines
