Test 01: The Will to Kill

*Cam’s POV*

You slowly regain consciousness you look and see white, you look around and see that you are in what looks like a testing chamber covered in pillows, you look around and see that only the walls look like this and the ground is made of concrete,

“I might be able to break out if I break the floor,” you think to yourself. You get on your knees and attempt to strike the ground until,

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” you hear that voice you’ve hated for years, you stand up and look up seeing a window with “him” standing in it, “Good to see your not dead… son, if you were I would’ve had to kill one of my most valuable employees…” you see Tempest step up to the window look ashamed of herself, “Tempest Shadow, who I gave the cute code name of Shadow to, just like that fictional character that evil genius created in that game,” your father says to you like he’s all high and mighty.

You launch yourself at the window knowing that it’s only glass and hit it with everything you have.

You hit it and feel not give in the window, you jump back from the window and land on the floor, and look up, “I knew you’d try to come after me as soon as you woke up, so I had my inventors create glass that could withstand the equivalent power of nuclear blast, so try all you want; you’ll never break this glass… speaking of inventors, I think you should meet one of them,” he says in that same tone,

You turn around and see an inventor strapped down to what looks like an operating table and see him struggling, you try to run up to help him but run into more of that same glass, you look up at him, “WHAT THE HELL DID HE DO TO YOU, AND WHY IS THERE GLASS IN HERE? WHY? WORRIED I’D ESCAPE AND TRY TO KILL YOU!?” you yell up just so he knows he heard you,

“I only did it to ensure the safety of my employees, and as for what he did… let’s just say he betrayed me like you and your mother did,” he says as if he’s already won,

“THEN WHY IS HE IN HERE?” you ask him

“To test your will to kill son,” he says to you, “Inject 5 mico-liters into his system. I want to see him suffer,” he says as if your no longer there over the loud speakers.

You turn around and see a robotic arm come out of the ground and inject the person with a purple liquid, as soon as it does you see the person writhing in agony and screaming in pain,

“WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO HIM!?” you yell in anger,

“Oh, nothing really, I just killed his wife and child, drove him to bankruptcy, ruined his very name, killed his entire family, and now I’m using him to test the berserker serum I’ve been inventing,” he says as if this persons very existence didn’t even matter to him.

You look at him mortified at what he’s done to this poor man, you turn back and see that the mans shirt was ruined and that he now had his pants torn into shorts, and that his skin has turned purple.

“Open the glass,” you hear over the loud speaker,

You rush at the glass your father’s behind and try to hit it, but before you know it you’re on the ground with the person holding you down by your skull, “GET TO HELL OFF OF ME!” you yell as you blast him off with pure energy. You attempt to hit the glass again and get the same result as previous attempt, “I SAID... GET THE HELL OFF ME!” you yell at him again and again blast him away with pure energy.

“That won’t work son… you’ll have to kill him if you want at me,” your father says in his high and might voice,

“LIKE HELL I’LL KILL AN INNOCENT MAN, I’D RATHER KILL MYSELF BEFORE KILLING HIM!” you yell up to your father as you defend yourself from the mans attacks.

“He’s no longer human, he’s been turned into a mindless killing machine, ahahahahaa,” he says like a fat wrestler you watched in a movie back in 2013,

“STILL… I’LL NEVER KILL HIM!” you yell,

“Well, sorry to tell you this but the only way your going to relax is when either you or him die,” he says in a calm tone

With little choice you decide that the best option is to knock him out, so you attempt to knock him out with a non-lethal punch with everything you have, as you make contact you feel like his skin is made of steel and backflip away as you send him into the wall on the other side of the room. Thinking that it’s over you try to rest only to see him perfectly fine and coming right at you.

“Crap! No time to dodge, gotta take this hit,” you think as you throw your hands up to defend your self only to get hit in the back of the head and sent flying into the same wall he emerged from seconds ago, “Okay… that didn’t go quite as I planned,” you groan in pain as you remove yourself from the indent in the wall.

“You really don’t want to kill him… *sigh* if you don’t kill him, I’ll send him after those girls of yours and have him kill them,” you father says over the loud speaker.

As he tries to throw a punch, you catch it and decide to show your father no mercy with this person as the representative, “Please forgive me for the sin I’m about to commit,” you quietly say to the man.

*Father’s POV*

After your son caught the monster’s punch he decided to hold nothing back and threw him into the glass you were behind, he then seemingly teleports to his next location and hits him faster than the normal human eye can track… but you know you and your son aren’t human, he then follows up by hitting him to multiple locations and teleporting there and using him like a ping-pong ball. But you know he’s doing this to send a message, and you can see that the message is, “Don’t threaten those girls or those close to them or I’ll kill you,” you decide to humor him, “Good job son, you’ve finally killed that thing, go on and relax,” you say through the mic, you then turn to Tempest, “You know what to do now,” you tell her, she nods in response and goes to the elevator leading to the room down below with a shot of morphine.

“Sir,” you turn around and see your secretary,

“Yes,” you say,

“Your 8 o’clock is here sir. Shall I bring him in,” she asks.

“No, tell him to meet me in my office,” you tell her, she nods and walks off to inform your partner,

*Cam’s POV*

As you sit and rest you see that the door on your side of the glass opens up and reveals Tempest in the same armour she abducted you in, comes out looking into your eyes, you rush at her but stop just meer inches from her, you realize that she’s looking into your eyes looking for forgiveness, you lower your arm and look at her blankly.

“Look, I’m sorry about what I did, and I’m sorry for what I’m about to do,” she says, she then puts a cloth over your mouth and you lose consciousness and see nothing but black.

*Father’s POV*

As you arrive at your office you see your partner wearing his signature business attire, with his feet up on the table.

“How many times have I told you to not put your feet up on my table,” you ask him,

“Countless, and I love the rise I get out of you because of it,” he says in troll like tone,

“*sigh* look I know you agreed to work with me to eliminate those stupid fake gods, but I have more on the line that you do, I have my business on the line, my fortune, and my integrity on the line, while you, Mr. Red, have only your life on the line,” you tell him,

“While I agree with you there; I have to say that not just my life but my children’s lives as well, I hope you can keep your promise of 5 million dollars, and protection to my family if this fails,” Mr. Red tells you leaning into his hands,

“I’m a man of my word, now leave me, I have other matters to attend to,” you tell him,

“Like of your son?” he asks mockingly,

“WATCH YOUR TONE, I MAY NOT BE MR. GREEN BUT I CAN MAKE YOUR LIFE A LIVING HELL IF I SO DECIDE,” you sternly threaten him while glaring at him,

“Fine, fine, I’ll be leaving now, but before I leave,” you look at him, “don’t kill your son, those gods would destroy this entire universe if they found out he was dead,” he warns you,

“I’ll take that into consideration,” you tell him as he closes the door behind him,

You sigh after that little skirmish, and decide to talk to the one true god, you go towards your bookcase and pull a midnight black with flaming orange highlights back to reveal your secret room devoted to the one true god, you go to the alter and go on your knees and suddenly you god, a shadowy, two horned, imposing figure.

“My god, I don’t know what to do about my son, I wish for you to have his power but you need a stable and safe way to free yourself from the prison the fake god of this world and the fake gods that my son cares for, what should I do?” you pray to your god,

“I say you try to manipulate your son into fighting for you, say that you’ve captured them and make him do what you want, and when the army is ready, put an illusion on him to make those gods look like his enemies and have him kill them, and before the fight reveal that Mr. Red is working with us and he’ll feel so betrayed that he won’t know who to trust in the fight,” your god says,

“Thank you, my lord, I apologize that I must make this short but I have a meeting in 20 minuets,” you apologetically say to your god,

“There is no need to apologize, for I am patient as should you,” your god tells you,

“Thank you, and good bye, my lord,” you say as you stand up and walk away to leave your secret chamber.
