Bad idea; If they get rid of darkness, then the world will be out of balance.

Ooh! New story!

Now that would be an interesting twist, wouldn't it! :raritywink:

Hello, TheMajorTechie! Been awhile!

Yup. I've pushed out quite a few stories since we last chatted.

Will this story have a happy ending? Right now, everything feels like a setup for a tragedy. :unsuresweetie:

If you're referring to this particular story, then no. If you're referring to what is going to happen after this story, well...spoilers, sorry.

This is a promising start. I don't think Stygian's darkness was actually supposed to be a separate entity, but it's an interesting idea. It's similar to the Nightmare Rarity comic, but different enough that it doesn't feel like a direct rip-off. My only minor concern is that you have a large cast in this story and I hope you can balance them all and give them something to do.

He turned to Twilight, Starlight, and Sunburst. “Twilight, Starlight, Sunburst, will you aid me?”

Why doesn't Star Swirl ever ask for Mistmane's and Mage Meadowbrook's help? :applejackconfused: Mistmane is still a powerful sorceress and Meadowbrook reviewed the revised portal-opening spell in "Shadow Play Part 2."

Actually it is. In the episode, the darkness was banished instead of Stygian.

So good. I was laughing and crying the whole time. And the friendship is magic part was so much stronger than the show usually has it. In the show it's usually cheesy but here its much more powerful

I honestly should've asked this a long time ago, In the episode, knowing that the Pillars were going to banish the Pony of Shadows away, and knowing how Star Swirl felt about Stygian at the time, not seeing him even as a pony, but a villian, I never really understood how the rest of the Pillars felt about him? Did they see him the same way? Or did they see him as a "lost soul"?

I believe they saw him as a lost soul. I feel like the purpose of banishment was so he would come back for forgiveness, but once he turned evil, Starswirl convinced them he was a lost soul beyond help.
