"They're Made Out of Marshmallow" is, of course, based both on the original story (They're Made Out of Meat) by Terry Bisson, as well as the short video (also based on the short story).
This was a one-shot, of course, and I hope you had a giggle at it.
One of my favorite sci-fi shorts, though it does raise quite a few questions regarding the true nature of the Crystal Empire. And mentioning that marshmallow moves the sun and moon might have been pertinent.
Still, an enjoyable, marshmallow-flavored tribute to the original.

This is simultaneously the dumbest and most brilliant thing I've ever read in my life and is much more entertaining than it has any right to be. I don't what exactly that was, but I'll definitely remember it.

This opened my eyes. My God, how could I've been so blind to the evidence? I am disgusted of my past self.
I found it quite enjoyable, a lovely pony shaped homage to the original. I like to imagine a similar conversation going on with two ponies in the empire. "They're made out of rock candy" as that would create an interesting little scenario of both sides underestimating eachother
Well, we suppose humans would have similar disbelief if we were to discover a species based on sulfur or something...
That was delightfully silly, although a touch dark at the end regarding Sombra. A lovely homage to the original.

A perfect adaptation! I like this idea of the Crystal Ponies a lot more than what we've seen in the canon, especially the bit at the end with Sombra.
