I don't know. I'd say Twilight was holding onto a spare, given how she went along with the "never the twain shall meet" plan.

And let's hope this isn't canon. If the servants of the Shadows got their hands on that enchantment, then conquest would just be a matter of mass-producing the things. Not that anypony would mind. The pretty colors would keep them company as the planet froze.

no doubt, the only interesting things to come out of that episode were the setup for future (and hopefully better) episodes and Spike being called by the map

Oh for pete's sake. Very funny, though I sadly doubt this is the only Idiot Ball in Equestria. I imagine Celly loaned one to Blueblood* once and never got it back.
