Is this meant to be a sort of dirge for Celestia? In a way it feels it is, since one imagines the Nightmare a cause of strife, not a deliver from it.

This was some very good shit stuff. The tone, emotion, and details (and sometimes, where it mattered, the lack of them) were all well done. The apathy wasn't just written off as something dull to pass on, there was a silent struggle and the somewhat-uncaring, yet vigilant attitude of the watcher (Luna/NMM) creates a strong atmosphere and evokes feelings of defeat/helplessness. Like Morning Sun stated in their comment, there feels to be a subtle dirge for Celestia mixed in.

So, all in all, good shit. 👌
