Yeah, that's kinda exactly how I imagined their human counterparts to be. I like Starlight especially, since I've seen so many versions of human world Sunset already, human Starlight is something that I have always found interesting. Also, the part where Starlight didn't understand why no one on the web agreed with her ideals reminds me of whenever I argue with someone on the web about the fact that I don't like the movie 'Logan' while everyone else does for some reason.
Reading this I knew right away her "partner" was the human Sunset lol :3 I am a smart cookie ;)
I'm intrigued by the history of that Sunset though, short hair? A scar? Woah...

I'm glad you like my interpretation of human Starlight. She was a bit tricky to figure out, since it's not like she has magic to steal away people's talents or anything, but I think keeping her original ideals the same while being frustrated with her inability to enact them is...well, it's just right.
8206925 Haha I guess so! And yeah, human Sunset...well, part of it was just to make her visually different from the Sunset we know and love, but I'm definitely gonna enjoy exploring her history and her motivations, especially in comparison to pony Sunset's.

Unless they're side-stories or something, wouldn't the fact that it's the 'final' story mean there wouldn't be anything else "yet to come"...?

I pretty clearly meant that it was the final member of that particular set of oneshots, not that it's the final story in the continuity. Especially since I was pretty open while those stories were being published that they were all leading up to a bigger story, namely Synchrony. I'm honestly not too certain how you managed to misinterpret that.

Ha. I, by contrast with Applety, was expecting the partner to be Trixie, even reading her lines in Trixie's voice. I'm clearly too influenced by Equestria's StarTrix friendship. Then when the scar was mentioned I started wondering if it was Tempest, but I guess this was written a little before the movie came out? I feel silly for having missed the possibility of human Sunset though given the foreshadowing in Of All The Girls To Fall For. This is a really interesting setup, and now that I've read all the prequels, I'm raring to go to get started with the Synchrony main story!
