Starlight Glimmer has regrets. Ghosts of her past continue to haunt her. But is there really such a thing?

Heavily inspired by "Starlight's Worst Fear" by Art Inspired so credit where credit is due.

Takes place in the Reassurances 'Verse right before "A Royal Problem".

How so, what did you like about it?

.....that..... was.... -sniff- -sniff- beautiful :fluttershysad: :pinkiesad2: :fluttercry: :raritycry: -stops crying for a little bit- y-you know? I may have a lot more respect for Starlight Glimmer. I just think if I could find people that love Starlight Glimmer and not hate her, I would feel like a happy Brony. great story man, great story.

So true. Your interpretation of the Starlight/Sunburst relationship displayed here?

8230716
I like it! I think it's one of the few Straight Relationships (aka Male X Female Love) that I actually like because of the fact they are childhood friends :3

as for how it was displayed in this story? I love how Sunburst gave Starlight support in knowing that she has changed. so heartwarming :3

Yeah, childhood friendships generally work as the best romances in my opinion.

She'll never truly escape her past... even if only in her own conscious. But if she can learn to forgive herself, then she'll be able to move on and grow as a mare.

Oh, I like stories that delve into fears a character might have about themselves or those around them. It's like getting a front row seat into how their mind works. Dream sequences are especially fascinating to me.

So 10/10 o7

8231079
Yeah, those types of sequences are always fun to write, even if you have to be outright nasty to the character in question when writing them. Always presents a challenge, thinking up what a character would fear most if the answer isn't that particularly obvious. I wrote a few psychological sequences for Sunburst in a few of my stories, and those were difficult believe me.

Can I do a reading of this story? It was so interesting and relatable :twilightsheepish:

Sure! When you're done, can you send me the link?

On a scale of 1-10, how much do you think I could understand this fic without reading the previous fics in this particular 'verse?

9101141
Pretty high, as reading those fics are not required.
