Yes, there's a time jump, however nothing in that time period happened really, because both/all parties involved were preoccupied with one thing or another so don't fret, and this is the bringing everything in line chapter...

The idea that Nightmare Moon still resides in Luna isn't new, but your take of a benevolent Nightmare that has seen the light of friendship and wishes to be a positive part of Luna's life is very interesting. Looking forward to how you develop this.

My thought behind her was always "If she's really a part of Luna, then wouldn't *destroying* her have an adverse effect on Luna's psyche? Also, why would the Elements *destroy* Nightmare? Aren't they for purifying?" Which led me to the thought that maybe they did the same thing to her that they did to Luna; purified her, and turned her from a manifestation of the darkness into a manifestation of the light...
Side note, I know the Elements do destroy; I saw S9E2. However, my thought about that is that he is already dead and pure evil, so his continued existence is an act of disharmony, and since there's nothing to purify, it ended up being like in Final Fantasy when you use Phoenix Down on Undead enemies...
Why did I start writing chapters that I hadn't fully planned yet!? Now the events are all chronologically incorrect, and I'm about 6 or 7 chapters ahead of where I wanted to be... which is partially because I kept thinking that I had to include as many events from the show as possible, and that I had to keep up with the show rather than have my own timeline, yeah, logic and I are not good friends... *Sobbing begins to subside* It's okay... I can still fix this, and get back on track... I got this... hopefully...
Also, sorry for not updating for so long, but I was not in the best place mentally (and tbh, I'm still not entirely in the right place, but definitely on track), nor did I really have the time, for pretty much anything, so sorry, I'll try to put out something (even if it's not a full chapter) more frequently, however, I won't try and push myself, but as I recover and improve, I'll also try to make time to write more...
This feels like it was written as a comedy and my self righteous entitled self can't stand that.

Sorry you feel that way, it was meant to have comedy, but it's primary purpose was to be a slow-burn romance which got darker as it went on, but I fucked it up by diverting from the plan... which is also why I have run into writer's block...
But, no, the stuff I have planned for later on is VERY MUCH non-comedic...
