Seriously, 50 Shades portrays BDSM culture as poorly as BuzzFeed commentates social issues.

Honestly I know nothing about 50 Shades of Grey, never read it, seen it or anything. What turned me off at first was reading the description and the opening chapter, it really really seemed like Shining Armor was going to do some mind break raping shit and I was NOT about that in the least. I just wanted a nice true slice of life sequel to Idyllic. You can imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon this today. I was actually torn on reading this and the only thing that made me continue were your clarifying comments in the first chapter.
You said Shining Armor wasn't evil, just more direct. So I trusted in that and took the plunge. This is literally all I wanted and screw canon, why are there not more Chyssie x Shiny stories?
-edit I should mention I am reading this from my phone, since the new update to the site everything is all weird and different so I don't even know what tags are in this story but Im confident now that tragedy and dark is not one of them and I would have been less hesitant in reading had I seen all the tags. Oh that and naming your story Ruin is pretty fucking ominous, the combination of that and your story description does you no favors.
