I played DOOM and I already know that BFG stands for Big Fucking Gun, it just occured to me that I never knew its TRUE name, you know, the technical one, the original one. Turned out this is its true name... Thanks for answers tho.

7873568 Most people thought that (Myself included). Technically in the original works of the first game is was called Big Fragging Gun. And most people is aware on Big fucking gun. But since this gun is an experimental weapon I don't think the scientists would call it something profane. Others instances of it's name is Bio Force gun. But we will just go with what everyone calls it.

7968565 Big Friendly Giant could be dark. It's actually from Roald Dahl.
The prerelease backstory documents actually use the name Big Fucking Gun, uncensored. In fact, the "BFG 2704" from Realm 667 is supposed to be the beta IWAD version of the BFG.
A more sadistic Doom Slayer would have traded the BFG for a Rocket Launcher. Everypony can own with a BFG, but noobs like Fluttershy would self harm or even suicide hard with a Rocket Launcher.
Troll version would be trading it with a Gauss Cannon. Poor thing wouldn't be able to hit anything with it as anytime she pulls the trigger she would be bounced backwards and/or the weapon would fall out of her hooves.
