19 B.B.Y. Saleucami – 106 Km Northwest of Crashed Separatist Landing Ship
“Hey! Hey guys! Rotor and Mashup are back!”
A dozen droids huddled around a small fire in the center of a weather-worn and poorly-set-up tarp, while one of their number waved out of a flap into the night.
Servos whined and groaned as the droids turned to look at the two newcomers entering the poor excuse for a tent.
“Rotor, Mashup, what have you found?” A scarred commando droid asked, standing up with some difficulty.
The two newcomers, both B1’s, took off the makeshift cloaks they were wearing to protect them from the rain and sat down.
“I think there’s a settlement not too far from here, maybe half a day’s walk due west. It’s just over the ridge and down in a valley. We might be able to steal some parts and fix everyone up a small bit, but I didn’t see any ships while we were down there. There were plenty of speeders though. Maybe they connect to one of the larger towns.”
“We should get moving as soon as the storm clears up,” another B1 piped up from behind the commando.
“What about droidekas? They no drive speeders,” replied the hulking form of a B2 super battle droid, pointing to a duo of droidekas folded up on the ground.
“Were there any speeders large enough to hold the droidekas?” The commando asked, returning his attention to the two B1’s.
“I think so, there was a speeder truck parked right in front of the little village when we were watching. I think it should be able to fit most of us, but it looked pretty beat up.”
“It can’t be more beat up than we,” another B2 grumbled from the side of the tent.
“We make for the settlement tomorrow, then wait just outside until nightfall. Once it gets dark, we’ll take the speeder truck and anything else we need. If anyone tries to stop us, kill them. We need to re-establish contact with the CIS. Once we get a ship, we can make our way back to Separatist space and get new posts,” the commando droid stated, nodding to himself at the end of his small speech and pointing at a B1 and a B2.
“You two, take first watch. Make sure nothing sneaks up on us. Everyone else, try and recharge your power cells as best you can before tomorrow.”
Folding down into his compact position, the commando powered down, followed shortly by several other droids.
“So… I guess it’s just you and me, Wallop,” the B1 said, trying to sound cheerful as he grabbed a cloak and threw it over himself, then readied his blaster and stepped out into the rain beside the super battle droid.
“Shut up, Sprocket, me no like being on watch with you,” the B2 grumbled.
We won't be able to tell you if this mini-chapter is a bad idea until we see how well you stitch it into the main story, unfortunately.
8345994
That must mean it's a bad idea :P
Its a Good idea to get the Head Off other things
Nice to see some more interactions of droid life.
I quite like the fact how B2´s speak. Even more computing power sacrifced for firepower.
8346359
Actually, believe it or not, but B2's are supposed to be slightly more intelligent than their skinny cousins. They just have very simple vocabulators that give them terrible grammar.
Hey, still looking good! Put a rush order on that next chapter would ya, I need the competition to keep me motivated!
8346910
Don't rush me!
The devs of my favourite game just gave everyone bonus stuff for three days only! I need to procrastinate more, or you guys won't get the Rushed-Tekket-Quality you all love and deserve!
8346917
That's too bad...
Cause it looks like I just did exactly that~!
well we get to see any buzz droids?
Very bad things tend to happen when one rushes things. Tell me fellow readers... would you like to have a nice crisp, smooth tasting wine that is aged perfectly, or would you rather have a not so flavorful, and possibly filled with sediments, wine that will make you hack your guts out. I actually don't drink, but I rather have something that is finely crafted rather than drink swill.
Anyway...YAY!!! more droids, and a group of battle worn droids (possibly). Can't wait to see where this goes.
Be prepared to have the Separatist Droid March ready to play when the next chapter comes in. Droids gonna role out like they own Equestria.
P.S. I think the little bonus chapters is a cool idea. I think it would be pretty cool to have pockets of droids just doing their best to survive and maybe do some serious SPEC OPs against the Empire (we are post Jedi purge right?). It would actually be hilarious if a rag tag group of B1s and B2s actually succeed in something like that. Just sayin.
8347686
Possibly. I don't have any ideas for how they would be a large addition to the plot at the moment.
8347981
Woot!
This guy knows it! He wants the properly procrastinated version of the chapter, rather than a rushed copy!
I cannot wait until the next chapter!

Thank you! I am currently having a bit of difficulty writing it, but I appreciate your enthusiasm! Also, if anyone would like to help keep me motivated with writing this story, I sent out a blog post with a link to my discord channel made specifically for you guys to talk to me about the story and to get me to write whenever I get the chance. That blog post and the subsequent discord link can be seen here.
Thanks for reading!

Well mr.bones was inspired by HK-47, and yes that would be better
8547805
Yay! This story deserves it! It’s a hearths warming dream come true!
I've finally found a good battle droid fic and its on hiatus.
Just my luck.
Please update soon.

I would. Unfortunately, university is kicking my ass.

two clones is everything In need to know, I thought they where robots.
Sorry, but I just wasn't interessted in their time in space. I know that sometimes it is needed, but with them I don't expect something to deep coming out of that fact.
However with all those numbers as names I probably couldn't figure out which one was a druid, the clones you mentioned or a different druid.
This was one of the stories where I was more interessted in how they meet the ponies and react to each other. There are some stories in which you think afterwards, that the prologue wasn't needed or neccesary, mostly with human in equestria stories or displaced ones, but still.
Republic is maybe something where I could have imaged them being humans, but I simply thought the druids where talking, trying to figure out where they are I guess.
Which star wars have you written about? when you say these where the clones, then I image the movie version and not clone wars. (I saw you had written clone wars in the description, but I haven'T seen every episode and don't remember them fighting with druids or do I get the informations mixed up?)
8626799
Me too, just rarely where he is so polite to her
Well thank you for the chapter, but I know that as many stories I read and everything, I won't be able to remember every detail when the time comes where this should be important.
Oh the droidekas and the magnetic ones (Magna-..guards?), are my favourites I think. However in clone wars the "skiny ones" are funny enough.
Well I'm interessted in another chapter and hopefully I'm actually well rested when reading it the next time. That is my problem but it would nice and probably better for the information gathering.
8626804
Well I'm not the biggest fan of it but yes your right, as long as it isn't overdone in a way I can enjoy that too.
Do you know the feeling that you just have a few characters like "flash sentry or Spike" for me, that you can't takle seriously because of the show/movie or certian stories?
No matter how many actually good stories I see with them, I can't really bring myself to read anything that looks like Spike is supposed to be some sort of awesome leader/soldier or godlike being,....that or being together with a Mare which personality looks far mature than his or because of his young look. (I'm pretty sure I wanted to say something else but i forgot and finally need to get to sleep a bit).
8626864
I hear ya
8626757
Dear Texus,
I don't know what you mean by "which star wars have you written about?", as the clones and droids were on opposite sides in the war in the movies, the shows, the books, and pretty much every fanfiction ever written. As simply as I can put it, the clones are part of the republic's army, the droids make up the separatist's army. Also, the only clones are, as I stated before, Laugher and Rabid. I understand that most people would have trouble following the adventures of droids if they were all identified by number only, so I decided to switch to nicknames. But Laugher and Rabid are the only clones in the story so far, everyone else is a droid.
Or a pony. But i think you can tell easily who's a pony.
Alas, I'm not entirely sure what all of your questions are specifically asking, probably because you wrote them while tired, so if there's anything else you would like clarification on, please let me know.
8635052
Honestly I don't know why I had those thoughts that late, most of what you said makes sense to me and I'm not exactly sure why I had written what I have written there, so yes just forgot about it. I think at the start and sometimes between the chapters I wasn't really sure what was what, but in the end I think I figured it out. It could happen that I have to ask again next time, but that is only because I still have to many stories I read and I'm kind of bad at remembering the "little" details because of that. I try to be more picky about what I like and what I want to endure and hope that it get's better.
Well as far as I remember it (since I haven'T watched the movies since a long time, some clones or most of them turned against the jedi or something in...the third movie was it? Mabye I had thought about that.
8635434
I would recommend re-watching the movies then :P
Since that's a rather large plot point in the entire star wars saga.
I have a bad, feeling about this escalating. Kill orders are to be expected from a Assasin Droid, them ruine the plans for peaceful coexistence just got kicked in the power distribution...
