The CEOs and such would be counted as commoners, because they all work for a living. The Equestrian one-percent are the nobility--born into their wealth, power, and position. Some of the best of them might actually work, but they don't have to.
i dont think marines would "scramble" to stand at attention of someone that isnt their commanding officer, nor would they need to be told "At ease" but that might just be me

Damn good story. Can't wait to see what happens next. Hopefully some special forces, maybe DEVGRU, MARSOC, Delta, or SAS. If Canterlot can't handle seeing US Marines fight, they're going be in for a treat when SEALs and SAS show up. Maybe throw in an AC-130 for flavor.

I wasn't entirely sure what to expect coming into this story, but damn - am I glad I did.
While there are very small things here and there (in the beginning - in terms of dialogue flow) that seem a bit off, this fic took off and gave my mind the best damn blowjob ever. XD // I've always wanted to find a story like this, and now that I have it, I never want it to end.
