I love these stories, since they allow me to...enjoy...a forbidden fetish - namely, widespread female slavery. Works that allow people to imagine unrealistic scenarios are important, since they provide outlets for purely-primal desires - and dominating the entirety of the child-producing sex is definitely one of those - that don't involve harming others.
That's why I don't see what's so 'wrong' or 'disgusting' about foalcon or FoE or rape-fics or zebradom or similar - they have a purpose, don't harm anyone, allow people to let out forbidden desires in a safe setting, and don't encourage people to actually do what's written in real life. Heck, if anything, there should be more works, not less, and of different mediums too. Written fictional stories are great, but they do say images are "worth a thousand words", especially if they're well-made.
Heck, since the 2010s were full of MeToo accusations (a large number of which were almost certainly false, made purely to spite the male victim or to boost the accuser's ego and gain attention by becoming a 'survivor' ), pro-woman bias in many parts of society, and masculinity becoming an acceptable target for abuse, I'm of the opinion works like these are more important than ever, since they allow men to fantasise over having some semblance of control and power.
...In my completely-Western eyes, having never visited the country and experienced its culture first-hand, the Japanese are better than us in this regard, even when it becomes pure cringe...
Resisting such preassure is always hard

That's exactly why I write things like this: it's a fantasy I'd never indulge in real life, for believe it or not I have a great respect for women.
People need outlets, safe outlets, to indulge in their deepest, darkest desires. If they don't...well, we've all seen what happens when they don't.
But I have to admit, I was surprised to learn quite a few of the writers who do FoE are women. Twipet, Silent Dream and I believe Schorl Tourmaline are all women, and they've written what is considered canon in the Fall of Equestria universe. Their stories are far more graphic than mine. It just goes to show these fantasies aren't gender-specific...we all have some dark thoughts swirling around in our heads.

I've read of studies saying basically this. Harsh, repressive societies tend towards worse violence in actual life.
According to Schorl herself, Twipet was a dude. Silent Dream and she herself are women, though, Poprocks is, not sure about Ponk.
About the chapter: we see some more of the mechanisms behind the caribous' magic, which is always interesting. Sweet Blossom's example suggests it can, and will, induce submissiveness towards males regardless of an actually dominant male present, while Fluttershy's (or Celestia's, for that matter) may show that being around forceful, dominant males may expedite the process... and that not only ponies and caribou themselves are affected.
Is this magic spreading outward from Equestria, I wonder? Will it reach other places in time? Has it reached other places? Seaquestria likely has no idea what's happening on the mainland, will the hippogriff males suddenly find themselves enslaving the females, many of whom are quickly begging for it, and no idea why? Maybe not even understanding something strange is going on? What about non-sapient creatures? Is Equestria's wildlife also being corrupted? Angel Bunny suggests this is not the case, but he may be particularly stubborn...

You know... I come to these stories for a laugh. The comments sections almost guarantee a flame war, and in general, the authors are good sports about it. Fall of Equestria though is special. See my review of it to get a genuine feel of my thoughts of this series (and forgive me, even in the throughs of passion in writing and its critique I fear I am oft to subtle in my assessments and musings).
In general I don't interact though beyond the troll level, but this statement here struck me...
... No. Bullfuck. Now, if you want to write in this verse or whatever, fine. And hell, you may even get the much coveted thumbs up from yours truly if you actually make them engaging and about something other then wank material, and I look forward to that.
But not having an "outlet" has nothing to do with making a conscious decision to hurt another human being.

I don't think anyone here argues it's an excuse.
Especially not when WhispersInTheDark also mentions the people who more commonly adopt the victim's perspective in Fall of Equestria.
