Every time you read one of my stories, an orphan is allowed to be happy. Do it for the orphans.

As my great samurai grandfather once told me, you see a strange cabin in the woods, you run like a little bitch.

Strange? I have no idea what you're talking about.

I am glad you decided to write this. It's much creepier than I was expecting.

This story need more Granny Smith.

I think the main thing to pay attention to is this line here:

'I turn away and wipe my blood-soaked hooves on this shawl, which I made for myself weeks ago. The blood will ruin it, but that doesn’t matter. I can make another whenever I please.'

She didn't kill the monster, so she wouldn't have blood on her hooves. Or did she?

Good story. Liked it when you pitched it to me, liked it when I read it.

I'm glad you two liked it. Thanks for reading!

Ok the cute pony poc in your blog post is evil :fluttercry: this tale is so heartbreaking.... the fact that the monster talked makes me think that this isnt a normal monster story the mares hallucinating from a mental disease aint she..... it just seems so obvious to me having a few myself.

But yeah loved it. Well written and paced. Good job on this one.

Aw, I'm sorry. I had hoped people would realize the picture wasn't connected to the story when I said it was unrelated. I just wanted to reward people for reading the blog...

I'm sorry for misleading you.

7443881 no no no its fine you made that very clear...the hypnotic eyes of the picture made me come here :pinkiecrazy: i figured my comment on the same blog before that comment would have been obvious but guess you didnt read that one first

Bad puns aside, a very well written story. You brought out the strangeness of the situation quite effectively.

Ooh :O We need more ghost stories! This was awesome! Excellent pacing, and all the way through the climax, too!

In accordance to this blog of yours, I decided I would let you know what I thought of this story.
There's nothing I can say that another person hasn't already commented on (looking at you down there -TGM-) and pointed out. As soon as I saw this sentence right here 'I turn away and wipe my blood-soaked hooves on this shawl, which I made for myself weeks ago. The blood will ruin it, but that doesn’t matter. I can make another whenever I please.' I just went, "Oh no, oh dear." Something was not right, and at the time that I read it about three days ago (I kept putting off writing this) a bunch of different thoughts went through my head as to what happened.
But I think the most likely answer is that something is not right with this mare in the head.

Edit: So in the end, I get this creepy vibe in a good way. I was expecting it, and I wasn't disappointed.
