This is worse than Sunset's situation. All Sunset has is arguing alters in her head with minimal control over her physical actions. That last paragraph read to me that Twilight has a full schism psyche with Midnight able to completely control their shared body on occasions. The only way it could be worse would be if it was amnesiac with the two alters refusing to share memories leading to what feel like 'blackouts' when they swap control.

I don't think this is correct. Generally, if someone has gone missing, time is of the essence. Police guidelines for someone who has actually gone missing generally insist on using common sense if someone has gone missing, rather than waiting a full 24 hours.
