I’m cuckoo for Coco Pommel!

E
Source

Cocoa is a warm drink. Miss is a title for unmarried mares. These are facts that Starlight Glimmer took for granted until she wakes up one day and finds that, for some odd reason, not only is everypony in Ponyville is using "cocoa" to mean "miss" and "miss" to mean "cocoa," but nopony has any memory of ever doing anything else. Linguistic pandemonium ensues.

Semi-inspired by the Miss Pommel scandal, Andrew Clements' Frindle, and other fun things. And yes, that gate is actually made out of chocolate.

I'm still not sure if the Coco scandal was someone's idea of a prank or not but I laughed all the same here.

I think it's real and canon. But this is still the only way I'll accept it.

Short, fun, and quite random. I like it!

looking forward to a word where words mean

world

why did go all out with that lecture?

Missing a 'you'.

Fun story.

Someone actually called me that! :pinkiegasp: :rainbowlaugh:

"Moselying"

You know the similarity's between that word their and the Star Wars location Mos Eisley seem quite fitting.

"You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy."

Not to mention its (more distant) similarities to the word misleading.

frindle

..... That sodding book got on my nerves for donkeys years, why would you remind me that it existed? :facehoof:

Because, with all the discussion of words being made to mean certain things, I just had to. :trollestia:

Three years spent towards an English degree, and this is what comes out of it...

eh, this isn't all that bad of a thing. it's a pretty funny story for its concept.
