It may not be entirely clear from the story yet, but this story takes place prior to Fallout: Equestria. At some point in future chapters, I believe it is revealed that these events are around 150 years after the megaspells fell, so about 50 years before Fallout: Equestria proper.

No, the main character of the story is of no relation to Doctor Whooves. I have other plans for the Doctor, but I won't be adding any more stories until at least one of the three I'm working on are complete.

You should mention in the next chapter his concern that she might not actually give it to him, but there's really nothing he can do about it anyway. Although she should because the other Rangers would object to so blatantly breaking a promise.

The next 4 chapters have already been written, and in looking through them I couldn't find anywhere it made sense to insert it. I'll be sure to mention his worry when the Vanhoover Steel Rangers or his power armor come up again, though.
I have to ask. Why didn't they just raid all the other vehicle for fuel? Not to mention the boats trapped below would also have fuel tanks. And shouldn't they have doors cut in the roof so they can climb out and fire down on enemies (with proper raised metal shields for protection)? Not to mention firing portals in the side so they can fire from cover without having to leave the trailor.
