On a lead from her friend A. B. Ravenhoof, Daring Do heads off to the Tenochtitlan Basin to recover the statue of the ancient god. But Daring's troubles are only just beginning as she is sent off on a commission to find the legendary Sacred Stones, items that once held the power to defeat Discord and were last seen shortly before Nightmare Moon was vanquished. The stones have appeared all across Equestria, and Daring Do now has to make her way throughout the land to find them all.

But someone else is interested in the Stones... someone who's slumber has been awakened, who wants to use the Stones to make himself the most powerful being in Equestria, and to take revenge on the one who imprisoned him...

Racing against an unknown foe, Daring Do will need to rely on her wits, ingenuity, and her closest companions. For as a cult of the ancient god rises in Equestria, it's hard to tell who she can trust.

Is this Fire Emblem-related, perchance? And could your name be a reference to a certain DS real-time strategy game?

I'll be keeping an eye on this one. You show good promise as a budding origin story for Daring Do, and I think this will turn out well.

Huh, well I don't really have any advice for you, since I'm not too familiar with the genre. Still, it was pretty good, certainly captured the adventure feel from the first look. So have an up for that.

A few criticisms:

the shopkeeper tore down his shop: this is a bit confusing. I realize you meant that his shop was a tent, but your wording makes it sound like he tore down a building. Maybe you should clarify it a bit.

could have shown the way: could have shone the way

Also, Shining Armor seems a bit OOC with deciding to leave another pony behind. He's always struck me as a very caring pony who looks out for others, so him wanting to leave Charity behind strikes me as both OOC and bad form for an officer.

The two grammatical errors have been fixed. Shining's attitude might be slightly OOC, yes, but honestly I did so for story purposes. It will be rectified shortly.
