Most certainly an interesting concept, though there are already some on this subject (for example my story and Steelwing's wingbury academy) also, you really wanna be careful about humanizing, it could be well done as long as you follow several structural points (see Apple of my eye by Jexxazrez) co-op writing is always a good idea but make sure you stay on the same line.
So far so good. It definitely seems like you took the characters and just made them a bit more like teenagers, which for a highschool story should be a good thing. I'm not normally interested in this kind of story, so catching my interest means your either doing something well, or horribly wrong. Lets hope its the former!
