7085932 Uh... I don't think so. Did we discuss an idea like this? I suppose it was inspired by you, in a sense. When I saw "A Ruler's Regret Never Fades", I decided to try and write a short fic in time for the contest. I almost succeeded too, but unfortunately moderation took a few hours too long.
Ooh, that's quite nice. You make us feel bad for the changeling even though she (it?) doesn't actually have any redeeming characteristics. And then you show our pony heroes leaving her to die, and we're left to wonder if she deserves it or not. I like the darkness and ambiguity there! That's really shocking to see coming from a new-ish author. I bet you would have done well in the contest if only it had made it in under the deadline. Regardless, that's still quite a story you've got there, and you should be proud of it, regardless of the lack of fans.
