The Elegant Diamond. A name that everpony knew. Seductive, cunning and agile. The famous costumed rogue evaded the grasp of the royal guard again and again. Her small, but talent gang allowing them to perform the most impossible of heists, stealing from the most secured vaults in the lands and sharing their riches with the poor.
Now however, the Royal Guard have seized an opportunity to get one of their own into their ranks. And not just any normal guard, but one of the best and brightest of them all. Now, they are tasked with infiltrating the gang and bringing them to justice from within the inside.
But in order to bring them to justice, one must first know what justice is.

I'm definitely tracking this story!! Maybe later, it can be upgraded to a Favorite. Certainly has hooking value.
I have to admit, the first part after reading this chapter is Batman vs. Catwoman. Or to make it feel more ponified--BatDrake vs. CatMare. Only the main different is that we know Spike is the Golden Paladin--that could be confidential to the majority of Equestria--and that apparently his immediate family, Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, and I assume Cadence know his true identity. We at the moment don't know who the Elegant Diamond is, but I'm pretty sure that a little thinking will tell you exactly who is who.
In related news, this is a definite shout out to Warlock as well--if I know his influence, I think I know definitely who the Elegant Diamond is--hence the conparison with Batman vs. Catwoman....
To be honest, going through this chapter really is reminding me of "Blue Bloods" also. We have Spike, Shining, and Twilight, all siblings, in the same family, all of them are related to law and order for Princess Celestia in certain capacities. I wouldn't be surprised if either Velvet or Night Light are also connected to the Guard, even if they are merely administrators or even retired. It definitely is getting a Regean feel of it.
I feel sorry for Dash, that the first time we see her, she's probably gonna be in an orange jumpsuit behind a pane of plexiglass in a visitation room. I have to wonder, Dash got nicked, so I wonder if there are others that could come close to being nicked as well? Not to mention that the Elegent Diamond is in cahoots with Ironhide, the Trickster, and the Delicate Butterfly (again it's pretty obvious who they are, but let's wait until they are revealed). Twilight has already mentioned that Dash turned to crime, who to say that there are other that used to be close to her that ultimately turned to crime as well.
Finally, I see the Romance tag on it. Considering Spike's gonna be on one side, and apparently the Elegant Diamond are gonna be on the other side, can't wait to see a forbidden romance blossom. I really love that you have your characters as Anthro.
