ooooookay..... I'll get into this more in the sequel, but, this is not a bad story in and of itself, yet I have trouble accepting it given how much of MLP canon it rewrites. that's really my main issue. Looking at it on it's own, it's got a lot to it, but it's hard for me to look past all the changes and how massively different from what the show has said it is. Though it IS an AU, so, looking at it like that... it can work. It's more a personal issue. Still a touching sad, but hopeful story.
