Just a pony being fabulous. Writer of vignettes, clop, experiments, a great deal of trash and the occasional gem

Twilight is home for the holidays, and she and her brothers have a special little tradition between them as they reflect on the events past.

That ending... This story was a riot, and the threesome really did feel like family throughout.

Cute. Their father knows what really moves the world. And that's riding fire breathing dragons. Or bring one, in his youngest child's case XD

Have a. Mustache, good sir:moustache:

Very cute. I LOVE the head canon of Twilight and Spike being brother and sister. And I agree, more should be done with Shining Armor and Spike.

I have three brothers and this sounds like something we do when we're all together. I loved this story. It was hilarious, especially the ending.

Great, my face hurts from grinning like a dork, now. Thanks a lot. :rainbowlaugh:

Simply adorable all around.

Very cute and funny, dear lady! I love the idea of spike being a little brother and he and Shining being buddies. Most definitely!

You were right, though! A unicorn shooting off magic, riding a fire breathing dragon would be the coolest thing ever!

I second this statement. I hope someone draws this soon. :pinkiehappy:

I love these little heart warning, bonding stories, it's what family is all about.
This is a great story, you be up and writing at 5am more often

Addition is what you do when you're learning arithmetic.
An edition is a version of something.

7100384 Err, yes. Shining 's addition to the tradition was cider.

Oh- THAT edition!
corrected!

7097906 Ma'am, darling.:)

This is heartwarming in all the sense of the word  I love a good family bonding like this :pinkiesad2:

7100834 oh, my mistake.

Have a dazzling day then, my good lady! :raritystarry:

This story was very relatable to me. I really enjoyed this story. It was a simple, interesting premise that really works well for these three. My only real issue is a bit of confusion on my part. Spike is how old, exactly? And he's allowed to drink?

7100918 No, Spike isn't allowed to drink. ;)

7100966 Ah, I see. I'll just glance the other way then.

That was great :rainbowlaugh:
I kept wondering if they actually were trying to keep their volumes in check, but the more the story progressed, the clearer it became they stopped caring.
And it backfired gloriously.
Thusly, I can safely say that the moral of the story is: Always be wary of the wrath of a mother whose sleep has been so rudely denied by her offspring.

This was both a riot and adorable at the same time. I do love that ending, especially the part with Velvet yelling and then thinking of Spike as she would Shining and Twilight. So cute

Some things would never change.

And some things shouldn't. This bit, however, probably should.

She glared at Shining for a moment, She rooted through her memories, searching for the perfect one to relate.

Whoa hey, this is really good. Keep it up!

Hey dawg, this is a fic and I reviewed it. You can check out what I said on it over here.

The typo in the title triggered me so hard.

He's got a belly full of dragonfire. Alcohol is nuthin'.

In Soviet Draconia, dragon rides YOU!

I like it! I like it a lot! The origin of this tradition really makes this story. I've long felt sorry for every 'chosen one' I've ever read about, because putting that much pressure on anyone, let alone a kid, is so unfair. That crosses my mind every time Twilight gets worried or neurotic; that's what that kind of pressure does to a person. Having such a warm, loving relationship with her family is a welcome relief.
When Twilight was building up that story about Shining accepting his certificate from Celestia, I thought she was going to say "And everypony said 'Thank you, Princess.' And she gives him his certificate, and he says "Thank you, Mom." or something like that. Personally, I think that would've been funnier.

7101657 But not nearly as embarrassing. It's the sort of things siblings pick on each other for ya know. I think it makes them closer, as a family, to share moments like that.

7101699 My sister would never let me forget calling my boss 'Mom' in front of a room full of people. But we weren't very close as kids, so I've never actually experienced the kind of situation described in the story. So what do I know?

Fun and heart warming. Great job!:moustache::twilightsmile:

"SHINING ARMOR ARE YOU THROWING A BABY OFF THE ROOF?!"

:rainbowlaugh: Holy fucking shit best line ever. Good God that had me laughing. The worst part is, I can totally see an otherwise perfectly sensible kid come up with an idea like that. There's this logic to it that children would totally pick up on, but never notice the obvious downside that getting thrown off a roof is not a good thing.

This art is so amazingly beautiful!

Pointless. But that doesn't make it bad. Quite funny. Funny tradition.

Well done.

Couldn't help my self:rainbowlaugh:

7105327 That's actually quite accurate of how my family operates.

This is cute. I like it.

Brothers? :rainbowhuh: :twilightoops:
I thought she only had one.

7107766 Oh. I wrote that comment without reading the story. Now I get it.

That was great. Cute, funny, heartwarming, and just silly all at once. I'd offer to help edit again, but I'm kinda swamped at the moment. :ajsleepy:

I've had a few of those. It's great to reminisce about simpler times.

...Yup yup yup
this is what we needed to feel great again
Thank you Rara

Plz do more like these

This is literally one of the best fics I've ever read.

7203892 Thank you kindly dear!!

This was sweet. And funny. :rainbowlaugh:

This made me smile and reminiscent of a couple events.

Awwwwwww this is super cute to
