Hello Outis Here, i have decided to do a little Study on each wish Button makes, and evaluate if it really does anything.
As this the first chapter i am putting forth a theory of mine, which i got after looking at each wish in some detail, so here goes.
The Book Does Nothing. Or The Book only gives the target an idea (Or Temptation) if they carry through with it is up to the target.
For an Explanation of the first point just look into my analysis of each wish in later chapters as i find most if not all of the "Wishes" would be fulfilled regardless of the books existence.
As for the Second Note that the Succubus (Aka Kiara in later Chapters) says this

The book’s ability to change things is linked to my power, and vice-versa.

So the books power is linked/draws from a Succubus, a Demon which uses Desire, Temptation, Illusions, dreams and Seduction to name a few, so it would make sense that any wish in the book would use Temptations And Desires, however a person can fight these off, and in a world supposedly filled with harmony the powers of a Succubus would be hindered plus. So it is possible that the target of the "Wish" (or Desire) would have to also want it, if not already adhere to it for the "Wish" to work.
This is Merely my thoughts and could be completely wrong, But I shall stick to it.
Edit: I have also realized that the book may be giving Button Confidence, he knows what he wants but is afraid that if he seeks it, it will be denied and cost him what little he has but with the Book and power to "Wish" he gains the confidence to make them happen, and Kiara is there as an extra support, and push. Also The Book and Kiara may not actually exist and they are his minds manifestations of his desire to have more control of his life, or may just be his way of cooping with his mothers death and trying to move on.
