Interesting idea. I personally loved the finale as well, even though the whole redeemed villain thing is definitely played out at this point. I like where this is going.
I think you should definitely post both 'versions' if that's what they are, of how you see this playing out. That could be so cool.

The name sounds familiar but I'm not sure if I've read it. Well, whether each alt ending is its own fic or just separate chapters here is fine with me.
Interesting choice. I loved the fifth finale, personal favorite of mine. However, I have to say that the villain redemptions really haven't been played out. There really have only been four villain redemptions {that's if you count Luna as possessed or not} The rest were antagonists that weren't truly evil...actually, Starlight would fall into the latter. Something in between, but that's just me rambling. {You should see Fairy Tail then. They do it quite often as well.... It's why it's one of my favorite animes. I"m a firm believer of second chances.

Bad world or good world didn't have a lot of bearing for when I wrote this. I was just curious about exploring a possible ending to Season 5 where Starlight got a bit of karmic punishment for her time-twisting antics. Hence she's in a world where she won (no cutie marks) but she can't enjoy it.
Not that I don't like Glim-glam, I'm just a fan of those "what-if" kind of stories. Hence why I haven't expanded this into a full-blown verse of its own.
Be careful what you ask for.........
Don't be so shocked Starlight Glimmer, you wanted a "1984" style oppressive regime.
