Discord successfully broke the bonds of friendship between the bearers of the Elements of Harmony. No longer do the virtues of friendship rule the land. Instead, chaos and disharmony are rampant, making each moment as unpredictable as the last. The world is dark, tensions are high, and the Master of Chaos himself is bored.

One unwilling little zebra will find herself the latest victim of Discord's boredom in a game known as "The Arena". The setup is simple: two contestants go in to battle each other. Anything goes. The game ends when only one contestant is left standing. The reward? A single, unrestricted wish granted by Discord.

For a zebra who lives in a world too big for her, what is there to do when her only wish is to survive?

Wow no comments no likes no dislikes hmm.

Full review here, but in brief: the game feels quite pre-reformation Discordy, if a bit vaguely explained. Nice to see a zebra protagonist, too. On the downside, it doesn't feel quite edited down enough from the original roleplay and phrases like "the tiny mare" are used irritatingly often.

Cool! Thank you for reviewing this! I'll offer some insight into the things you pointed out on the review. I'm not sure if you'll like that insight here or on the review page, but I'll mark here for starters :3
The rules for the submission were a bit lengthy, but to simplify it, I had to write a version of what a fight between Zyrene and Titan could look like and the person playing Titan had to do the same (With our respective character winning). And then a vote is put up on who had the better submission. The contest never went past the first round, unfortunately, so that is why the ending is so vague.
Yeah, this was written back before Discord was reformed, if I recall correctly. It's been a long time since I wrote this.
As far as editing goes, it was just me editing. I'm a chat roleplayer, not an author, so I think habits from my experience as a chat roleplayer definitely snuck into my writing here.

In any case, thank you again for the review! It's definitely put a smile on my face :D

You're very welcome. I've always tried to look beyond the stories that have thousands of views when I write my reviews. And thanks very much for the insight! Very interesting, and it does explain why some of the fic is the way it is.
