I'm just another writer looking for feedback and wicked stories. If those two items occur simultaneously, then so much the better.

Remember: Brainwashing through song is only bad when it's directly magical.

Only YOU can prevent musical dystopias!

(Context: I'm still waiting for Friendship Games to wash away some grime the 10-minute preview left all over the place.)

In all seriousness, if we're to understand that the sirens use/allow radio stations, does it follow that their spell carries through the airwaves? That was never outright stated, I think, but if so, wouldn't they have conquered the world a long time ago? Or am I badly misreading this? :rainbowhuh:

I made up the airwaves thing. I thought it would make sense that the Sirens could do it if they were powerful enough, but it only works with live broadcasts. The Siren-Free Radio stations are illegal and hidden. I'm sorry if that wasn't clear. Thanks for your comment! ( PS- I agree with your assessment of the preview. Why can't human Rainbow Dash be likable for 5 minutes?!)

Very well written, it was a bit lacking in plot development, as to what had happened to plunge the world into this scenario but other than that (which is entirely superficial) the story was amazing. You do a great job of scenic description, but your characterization leaves a bit to be desired. Lastly I would to commend the theme, not many people branch out like this, which may be why your story hasn't gotten much recognition but take heart in the fact that it's people like you who inspire a forward movement in sites like this. Left a like by the way

I was sad at the thought of all other records being destroyed, but then I remembered that sirens have the highest concentration of amazing songs of any artist I could think of, so actually being stuck with their output forever seems ok
