I was considering hinting at some romance between Chrysalis and Sombra but it would all be very subtle. And I have a good idea of how this story pans out, but thank you for the ideas and I'll consider a sequel to it after this story is completed
What is this? A story focusing on Best Queen? And one that's interesting and well-written at that? I'll be keeping track of this one.

Good story so far, however you might want to consider adding the alternate universe tag as Sombra has been given a canon background. It has him usurp the Cadenza rule after he turned evil due to revelation from one of them as they explained they knew the suffering he was going through the every year during the festival and what caused it but did nothing to try and help. Before that point he was at the precipice between good and evil due to other revelations from his "mother". Btw the wikia gives most of the details but leaves out that important part and how it makes him cross the line and kill. And yes despite how dark that is that's the basis of his official mlp background. Freaky right?

Thank you for the advice! I was unaware Sombra had any character development beyond what we saw in the Crystal Empire episodes. I imagine this came from the comics and while I don't take them into consideration much, I acknowledge that they are cannon.
i have not read this story but i have to say that cover art is amazing ill have a read later.
Plot-wise, it strikes me as a bit odd how trusting Sombra seems to be of Chrysalis so early on, but otherwise it’s not a bad start.
A proofreader can help you with the its-it’s confusion and the few sentences that need some grammar check-up.
