This was primarily meant to be a unofficial 'Chapter 6' to the game itself, seeing as how there's not much story in it besides simply having all these crazy armies trying to take over the world...

Of course, if they ever do make a sequel, and decide to use magical ponies as one of several possible new factions, they would probably not use G4 characters.
