The Tree of Harmony hasn't always existed. What brought this tree into existence is a mystery to everyone on the planet; even Discord himself does not truly know the origins of the tree. The tree itself knows though, and it remembers the past very well.

Story was a dare/challenge and a prompt. The prompt was "Origin of the Tree of Harmony" and the dare/challenge I mention at the end to avoid spoiling people. Needless to say that the dare/challenge made things significantly harder to do, had a week to make a story using both. It was fun though and I enjoyed it a lot. Also, if you dislike the story tell me why. If you disliked because of the concept or idea, that is fine, tell me.

6017064 Thank you for your kind words. One of my friends gave me the prompt "Origins of the Tree of Harmony" and another dared me to write the story in a week with no dialogue. This is the result and I am surprised by how well it turned out. I am very happy with the result.
Very good. I would like to see more like this, I like your take on how history went, although i really doubt that ww3 would end all life, specifically human life. We as a race have shown ourselves to be very persistent in our willingness to survie impossible odds.
6027316 True. The WW3 part was done with the mind set that the Spirit of Chaos was influencing humanity to use Nuclear Weaponry to an insane amount though. If, say, TEN THOUSAND bombs are used, the damage could be enough to end most, if not, all life. I made an edit to fix that part a bit to show that. If you see anything iffy like that again, please tell me. I am pretty good at editing stuff like that without taking away from the story so don't worry about it messing things up. I will be able to fix it quickly.
You know it is weird. No one has said really anything to bad about this story, yet it is almost tied on likes and dislikes. Starting to think the dislikes are people who just wanted a funny Discord or something lol. Wondering if I should count them or not in my head, since I did ask for critique.
I been having ideas a lot lately about other possible origin stories. Tartarus, The Badlands, Changelings, and even Diamond Dogs to name a few. I may be tempted to make an Origins Story, multi-chapter thing. I already got an idea for how to use dialogue for it, mane six finding the "Book of Origins" in the Castle of the Two Sisters while working on restoring it. Have to work on making it NOT cliche.... Only issue is how well people will receive a story like it. I would obviously be throwing out everything but the show if I do that. Than again, it may work pretty dang well. I kind of did put the origin in original with this story, haven't seen anyone else make a origin story for the Tree of Harmony like this one before.

But don't let a few ignorant people get on your nerves. The story is good, and if you like how it is, then nobody's negative feedback really matters.
